RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 pay on the door in london where asylum seekers work the turnstiles? i'll be trying to get in for a fiver I will be in for a tenner as a OAP -
RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 So, if I got a train Bolton to Crewe and then hopped onto a Midlands train I'd be quids in? You need to print the voucher off ASAP as there are limited numbers of vouchers for each day. I would also check the times as you can only travel on their network
RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 ?5 under 16/OAP ?20 Adults It's gone mad after last nights game, everyones up for it Its about time we got some cup feaver again; Arsenal away was the last time we took a shed load. How many does that away end hold at Fulham? Might have to get in the ground 20 minutes before kick off rather than 5 minutes after. Give us chance to go in the home end if the away end gets full
Zico Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 proper bogey team for us but if we get through I may get excited about the cup run

Boby Brno Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 So, if I got a train Bolton to Crewe and then hopped onto a Midlands train I'd be quids in? 3 of us have done that. Cheap as chips!
bolton va va Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Iamin +3. No match tickets, no train tickets (just vouchers ), no timetable, going from Runcorn. What could possibly go wrong ?

Just checked with national rail enquires and the earliest time you can get in London using only London Midland trains is 16.37pm so the offer is a waste of time
MickyD Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Lad and 4 of his mates are making the numbers up. I know I used to go to a lot of aways when I was his age (15) but I was a whole lot more worldly wise than he is. Mum's a bit worried but he's learned the art of asking me for permission before he asks her.

Well spotted. It looks like all the trains from Runcorn ( & probably Crewe )are Virgin Trains , so these vouchers that are only valid on London Midland are no bastard use. The nearest i can find on London Midland is 09-14 from Birmingham New St -change at Northampton -London at 11-57 Coming back-London 18-34 -Northampton -New St at 20-58. Not much good.
Boby Brno Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 According to the Londonmidland web site, there are plenty of trains but Im having problems with my tinternet so cannot confirm for certain.
RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 According to the Londonmidland web site, there are plenty of trains but Im having problems with my tinternet so cannot confirm for certain. They go via Runcorn and Crewe but the earliest on Sunday to London is too late. Ring 08457 484950 (national rail enquiries)

But they are virgin trains and I thought the deal was just on London Midland trains
veralynn Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 But they are virgin trains and I thought the deal was just on London Midland trains When you said you got yours on an OAP...are you currently in a nursing home
Boothy Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) But they are virgin trains and I thought the deal was just on London Midland trains He's right. 1.The Great Escape ticket allows one day?s unlimited off-peak travel on all London Midland train services. Travel is not permitted on any other train operator?s services. All the Sunday services are via Virgin. You can change the preferences to London Midland service only and the first one leaves Runcorn at 12:52 and arrives in London at 16:63. Edit: if it's too good to be true ... blah blah Edited February 18, 2011 by boothybwfc
Boby Brno Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Cheers, thanks for the info. Will have to find alternative means.
