Bad news for Paul Moulden then.

Stones throw down road.

Moulden and his dad are cunts, a disgrace to junior football. Just as bad as that Flitcroft legend.

what about lamb chicken and fish

there's a relative new chippy near me, Totti fish bar on Bury rd, woolfold. its pretty good actually, proper traditional gaff - the trouble is tho, they have two cups on the counter, ones a man utd mug, the other a man city one. The former has red forks in it, the latter blue. you have to choose either a dmb or city fork, does my head in. bastards.

Edited by Totty

Glad you enjoyed it!

Had I read your post on the barm thread before I would have made a few battered fishcakes ready for you (I only guessed it was you because you had a rag pudding :yahoo: ) but point taken.

Tbh prob is only sold a few since we opened so got fed up chucking them away :pardon:

Although we don't do deliveries (at the moment) we do have some menus that have a phone number on them (cheers Smiley!) so you can at least phone through your order in advance save you waiting for stuff to be cooked (we don't cook fish and chuck it in the hot cabinet to stand as we would rather sell freshly cooked food).

We are open Mon to Sat 11.30 till 2 and 4.30 til 8 (9 on a Friday) if you would like to sample it yourselves (plug plug)....

The shop actually used to be a dry cleaners before, Greenhalgh's is on the other side of the co-op.

In the next couple of weeks we will have some tables and chairs in the shop, and later in the year we will be opening upstairs as a dining room.

If you want to introduce yourself I am the suave sophisticated one with some facial hair running around like a blue arsed fly....

And yes, I am much much younger than Ani. Isn't everyone?

Glad you enjoyed it!

:good: Up for that when I am over soon mate. 5 minute walk from the outlaws house.

Just hoping that Diddles isn't a local? Has his haircut opposite?

Noticed any Trekkie types wandering about, Blackley?

Just up the block from my local and ove sampled your grub, impressed. As Casino says the plaice is the cleanest chippy I've ever been in, it's the first thing I noticed.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I love it when the kids get giddy. Maybe it is because you are young that you decided your marketing campaign on here would start by not telling anyone where the shop is located

Was just waiting for someone to mention it before I pounced :pardon:

I've been twice. First portion of chips I had there tasted far better than the second a few weeks later.

Hang on...... maybe that's cos I paid for the 2nd lot!! haha.

It was bang on as far as I was concerned. Though I'm back on the salad and soup diet again now.

Now then, I've just had that very same thing just a few minutes ago, and I have to admit it was bloody lovely. Although to be fair you have to be a bit of a fat fucker to wolf down two fishcakes (they're bigger than I expected) as well as your chips and peas....I did manage it though, but only because I've not eaten all day.

Anyway, the chips were nice and the fishcakes were the nicest I've had anywhere, none of this processed shit. The inside of the chippy was lovely and clean as well, which is a novelty these days.

If you've not been, I would urge you to give it a try

Right, that should be enough to earn a free bag of chips next time I'm in the area ;)

just keeping things tidy

c'mon folks, he's a good lad, keep the reviews coming

Sorry, forgot there was a thread just for the chippy.....

tbh, i guessed they may be going down the big fishcake route when i saw the price

but better to leave some than not have enough ;)

I was in Tuesday night, made the short trip from Breightmet due to the reviews on here, honestly say it was worth it. was good to see it quite busy when I went in, quite a few came in after me. Another plus comment for the cleanliness of the place. I got cod and chips and was spot on, Mrs had pudding and said the same.

Certainly worth the trip past the numerous chippies dotted along along Bury Rd to get there, I'll definitely be there again :good:

If it helps in any small way, I've just given the chippy a little bit of a plug over on BA.

I don't know you Blackley but best of luck with the business, I hope you do well from it.
