Johnny Byrom Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 There is an inevitability about everything we read or hear, that Gary Cahill will be leaving the Rebook this summer. In fact I'm quite suprised that he hasn't been asked to play with a FOR SALE sign on his back these last few games give the amount of column space covering OC's views on the subject. The key thing for BWFC is that we get a very good price for the lad, to give us some clout in the summer transfer window. But WHAT IS A GOOD PRICE FOR GARY CAHILL? Would ?15m keep the fans happy? Does anyone know what the release clause is in his latest contract? Or was the release clause removed altogether when he signed the new contract at the start of this season.
Boothy Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Will it fuck, Coyle has mooted ?20 - ?30 million, which suggests there is no longer a release clause. Price elasticity of demand dictates this thread is as useless as the umpteen other 'Cahill iz gone blah' threads. To be fair to BWFC, they have made it clear he is for sale for a good while now anyway.
oggybwfc Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 It all depends who wants him,If Arse? 15+ City? 25+
Pablo Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Depends who wants him, and he will not be worth what he goes for.
Johnny Byrom Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Just wondering when BWFCBoothy did his Economics degree? spouting "price elasticity of demand".... Bollocks If there isn't a release clause in his contract, then its a sellers market IMO.
marple whites Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The smaller clubs never seem to get what they are worth. Take the Anelka deal - ?15m was too cheap.
Pablo Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The smaller clubs never seem to get what they are worth. Take the Anelka deal - ?15m was too cheap. Yet you made ?7 Million on him, in 1.5 season!!

Danny G Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Yet you made ?7 Million on him, in 1.5 season!! 2 Million went to him and his agent after he signed a deal removing an 8 mill release clause earlier that season
wayne cramp Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 if its citeh then think what they paid for lescott and add 8 mill minimum .
Pablo Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 if its citeh then think what they paid for lescott and add 8 mill minimum . We had the balls to hold out for what we wanted, I dont think your board do !
Mounts Kipper Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Minimum 20 million, I would be very happy with 25 million and I think we will get it.
Zico Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 The smaller clubs never seem to get what they are worth. Take the Anelka deal - ?15m was too cheap. Everton did ok with Lescott
Bigtoe Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Just wondering when BWFCBoothy did his Economics degree? spouting "price elasticity of demand".... Bollocks It was Home Economics
Sweep Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Have we got to pay Villa anything? I wouldn't be suprised if they had stuck a sell on clause in the deal
