Making Amends

Featured Replies

27000 Bolton fans at an average of ?40 each is ?1.08million.

Take out staff and sweeper uppers and there's still a huge chunk of the nigh on ?1m a week wages bill.

They should give this to charity or back to the coub or sommat because they sure as fuck didnt earn it this week.

And do you know what makes it worse? They wont even fucking miss it.

Smiffs

24 hours on and still fucking angry.

I don't want the money back but it be nice to see it go to charity.

That's a lot of money and would go a long way.

Would be one helluva gesture on multiple counts.

Can't see it happening though

I've still not reached the angry stage yet.

I'm hovering between sheer smacked gob, puzzlement and depression.

I happened to drive through Euxton today and considered shitting in my hand and throwing it over the fence. Trouble is, I don't know exactly where the training ground is so I'd have had to throw my largely liquid shit onto some unsuspecting pensioner's greenhouse.

The anger is close but I want rid before the Arsenal game.

Cunts.

Oh, it's started.

I don't want the money back but it be nice to see it go to charity.

This, every one of us chose to pay the money and I'm sure if Bolton were playing again at Wembley this weekend we would all be there again so I dont want the players to be paying us back.

Giving it to charity would be far more worthwhile and would go a long way to sorting out what happened on Sunday.

It wont happen, they're too far removed from every day life to understand that this week some Bolton fans chose between going to Wembley and paying a household bill.

But when they get their wage slip this month I hope they look at it and think 'I've robbed some of that'.

It would at least make partial amends for me if they win at Blackburn and Blackpool and send the bastards down.

The sad thing about modern footballers is this: if the players chose to donate their "hard-earned" to charity, they'd probably employ the likes of Max Wanker Clifford to gain maximum exposure and spin on their "good deed."

The club should contact everyone who bought a ticket (after all, they do know who bought them, don't they?) and offer them the choice of a refund or a donation to charity in that fan's name.

That's a little harsh tbf traf.

I'm sure plenty of players do their bit and don't get nor want the publicity.

Make a home game free with a semi-final ticket stub and have a collecting tin inside the ground and we can put in what we want.

Nice. That sounds like a good idea to me.

Harsh? Fucking harsh?

After yesterday's debacle, the players should be personally visiting 27,000 fans' homes with the refunds and an apology.

The chances of a league home game doing that? Not very likely

The annual home pre-season friendly though... get a fucking big team and make it free entrance. Chances again...slim to none

For me the club can keep the money, we need it to spend on players!

To be honest them players also cheated themselves out of the biggest game in their careers an f a cup final something that only a few get the chance to experience. I'm sure that will have an effect on them and will stay with them for a long time so we are all losers in the long term not just the fans. As for giving the money to charity good idea that won't happen. Still angry depressed embarased etc but it will pass in time

Bang on. Theres not much i think would be harsh after what they did. They defintaley need to do something as a gesture to the fans imo.

kinda missed my point.

as far as im concerned a months salary wouldnt go amiss, never mind a week.

i was referring to the first line, not the second.

Utterly butterly are looking to sponsor jussi's gloves for next season.

i maybe wrong but i cant help thinking that upto 4.10pm yesterday we were all thinking we are on the upward curve -biggest crowd of home fans against west ham then onto a fa cup semi, we were gettin fans coming back and dont say we dont need em because we do, it was said on here that the extra 3-4 thousand at home games makes a big difference, the club has to get this right with ther public relations or the 'extra fans' wil disapear again. I just think that the club as one have to show they know how the fans are so disgusted and disgruntled at this present time. come on bwfc, get this right .

fuck the charity, I want mine back

The club need to send out a strong message or all the good work done by the team and the management team will be undone, there should be announcement that all season ticket holders will pay the same price for there season ticket as this year, but with an additional discount equal to 2 games free of charge, making a ?299 season ticket down to ?259, the statement should say that the club and players recognise the cost and the massively dissapointing display and feel it right that the loyal fans should be somehow reimbursed for the display at Wembley.

2 beer tokens per season ticket holder for every remaining home game this season.

Or, they can pay for my ticket for Blackburn..

I blame the ticket office
