I just meant if you didnt fancy going straight into the mixer and being rounded up like cattle and herded to ground from the train station,getting off a stop or two before maybe an option,same for after the game,to avoid all the madness at blackpool north,you could get taxi to poulton,have a few civilised pints and get the train home from there...

Like alot of away fans do in chorley en route to and from the reebok and we did at wembley the other week....

We're going to Blackpool South, hopefully less agro there from the peelers.

Also been speaking to 3 different landlords in main blackpool,and all 3 have had a visit from the fuzz waring of trouble,been told to put exrtra door staff on.

I have been told to avoid the Hop Inn like the plague!

On train from London (via Preston) getting into BPN at 10.20. Anyone know if it's better to go to BPS instead, for less agro? There should be a fair few Bolton on the train to BPN, so had planned to follow them - safety in numbers and all that.

 

I'm travelling up alone for this one, as the other London WWays folks I know can't make it. Would be keen to meet a few more faces off here though. If anyone is open to idea of the "more the merrier", please drop me a PM. Fear not, I'm not a shandy-drinking cockney.

the hop in is just full of scrotes mate,you will have no hassle in there....unless you kick an old mans dog and nick his crossword or interupt a guy shooting up in the toilets you will be fine.

I cannot see police rounding up bolton fans and taking them straight to BR, also cannot see this game being the powder keg that many predict, any aggro will be well after the game and small in numbers.

the bill can ave as many as they want at blackpool north,but whats going on at 10pm at night cannot be policed.

Good info is that if your getting train back saturday night either make sure there are enough to take care of yourself or if there are only 2-3 of you consider getting train from another stop.

MK's right, Blackpool North is a notorious spot for small groups getting picked off late on.

So it should be easy to police then ....... if they can be bothered ?

Police stopped Bolton fans at BPN and escorted us to Castle, so not much choice in the matter!
