I agree with Traf, NRC has been immense - and I don't think I've ever heard a bigger 'when' than the one used in conjunction with Holden. I'm not being a pessimist and everything is crossed for the lad, but it could take a long while yet, before he's back to the player he was for us (and I'll leave it there - but everyone will know what I'm thinking).

Happy that we've brought in extra pace at last, and without throwing money around (such as we have any).

 

Ream could be a better team defender than Cahill, much as I liked GC.

 

If Coyle sticks with 4-5-1 for the majority of games (for now - I suspect 4-4-2 may be back), then SKD & Klasnic don't provide cover for N'gog. Hopefully Sordell does.

 

Ryo could add some pacey threat on the wings for the rest of the season.

My first reactrion was Marvin who- sounds like an actor in 'It ain't half hot mum'.

Upon investigation, thing it was a good bit of business.

Shame we couldn't get the lad from Boro- Coyle spoke of him in the summer, and commented a few days ago that he wanted to bring in a centre half, even if Cahill stayed. Would suggest Knights days are numbered.

Firstly, we haven't seen Mears yet so why write him off? Eagles has been ok and if CYL had not got injured would probably have been a sub mainly.

We need options and options with pace, like Sordell. If Ngog is injured would you be happy with Klasnic or Davies playing on their own up front?

On your point about Reo-Coker that is a problem for the future. Holden isn't anywhere near fit and at the moment Muamba and Reo Coker are doing well.

Sordell - last 20 mins fresh legs from now until the end of the season. Not a bad threat to have on your bench against tiring defenders.

I have seen plenty written off as crap before kicking a ball and turned out to be good players for us (Kevin Davies and Tony Kelly to name two).

When Holden is fit he will be in the central midfield 3 with Muamba and NRC. Chungy and Mavies will be out wide on the wings and swapping over during the game like most teams do nowadays.

 

That midfield 5 would be a very good unit imo.

LATE NEWS: As predicted somewhere pages up the window has mysteriously reopened for Spurs.

Ryan Nelson was released by Blackburn, so signings after the window was kosher. But when does amended league squad have to be registered by?
