HomerJay Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 bogdan seems to heading to start next season as no1, so offering an aging keeper reduced wages seems a sensible idea imo. although, im suprised were offering any contracts at the moment. Quote
Casino Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 i think there may have bbeen discussions and they probably went along the lines of we cannot afford to be paying you what we are zat/superkev/gretar/jussi delete as appropriate and if we went down, it'll be even less than that Quote
Zico Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 What impresses me most is that he spills nothing, ever! Not sure about that Chelsea springs to mind As does Blackburn last season Didn't have many shots to save yesterday or which tested him but the way he dealt with the aerial threats yesterday was top drawer Quote
Snow_white Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 In the one sentence you say Bogdan was outstanding and the next we regret losing Al Habsi. I'm confused by this. what i mean is that Al Habsi did well and didn't get the start he deserved now we have Bogdan and i hope when Jussi is fit that we sticck with Bogdan as for me he's proved himself. I hope this helps. Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 If Jussi is buggering about over his contract again, I'd sod him off now. It's not the first time either, lost a lot of respect for the bloke of late, not to mention what a miserable bugger he is. Does he think we owe him a living? I know, long service etc, so on, blah, blah. This doesn't mean we should have to sort out his last big pay day, It's a business at the end of the day, we're making loses, & belts need tightening, if he doesn't like it... fine, do one. No one man is bigger than the club. Quote
Bobcat Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 jj fits into the Davies bracket....thanks for everything but there are younger and better now...stand aside please..... Quote
tylswhite Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 jj fits into the Davies bracket....thanks for everything but there are younger and better now...stand aside please..... I would wait until end of season before we upset him though. We still might need him this season. Quote
marple whites Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Thought he was very confident throughout the game, solid handling and alert to distributing the ball quickly to the full backs and getting the attach started. Only slight negative was should he have come out to Bellamy for the goal as I though the dwarfs first touch was very heavy. Quote
MalcolmW Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I would wait until end of season before we upset him though. We still might need him this season. Absolutely - a second string keeper is a necessity. Quote
Zico Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I would wait until end of season before we upset him though. We still might need him this season. thing is though, the offer has been made - he either takes it and stays or decides to leave, the fact we're halving his wage tells him our plans for him don't think we need to worry about upsetting him - his mind being on the job and fully focused is what we need to make sure stays in tact spose it depends on how much he wants to play 1st team football v uprooting and going elsewhere - he's already turned down arsenal once to stay with us, more than likely due to being settled if bogdan is #1 i'd rather have him on the bench than lynch, lainton etc Quote

That will keep him sweet until end of the season then say take it or leave it Quote
