Starting with Kevin davies immediately puts us on the back foot, we hand ourselves our own disadvantage from the word go and might as well start with 10 players. 442 makes us all look like statues, no movement what so ever, and our ability to get a foot in on the second ball floats up and out the ground along with the wigan fans flare smoke. ryo needs to start, if he was to get settled into the game during the first half i think he has the potential to be a menace, and at this moment in time, tuncay has done enough in recent substritutions to have a start over eagles. I dont mind folk trying something but it was clear that without 4 -5 - 1 we couldnt get the ball. Stuborn bastard wouldnt change it and has cost us. At half time Ngog, Eagles and SKD should have come off for the Jap, Klasnic and Muamber. Low and behold he takes off Petrov, the only player who was getting in behind the Wigan defence. The only chance we have now is Muamber, NRC, Mavies in centre with Petrov / Jap out wide getting in behind defence and one up top. Please do not play Ngog again, useless for me. Quote

I gave coyle benefit of the doubt, assuming he knew his job, but after tgat I seriously question his team selection and tactics. Oh I could go on but cab't be arsed. Totally deflated. Tge manager has cost us 3 pionts today, simple as that. Sadly we're stuck with him. The ability in that squad should be at least mid table. Not a new thought, I know, but either Coyle's job is to take us down this season or he's well placed in the medium-sized table of our worst ever managers. If he's really trying to keep us up then he's tactically inept, stubborn beyond belief, addicted to 442, and never examines the evidence in front of him. There's a fookin massive pachyderm in the room, and he doesn't even know what one is. He's had masses of goodwill as an ex-player and for not being the previous manager, and he's p*ssed it all way. Only one answer - remove him. And if ED/PG don't do that, then they're happy for us to go down. No other club would have let any other manager survive this long in this situation. End of. Quote
