Globetrotter Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I agree with all the criticisms of Coyle but Wheater should be making enough of a challenge to stop them scoring. Agreed. I was just responding to the question. It's the fact that he believes we deserved something from the game that I find so unbelievable. Plus there were poor performances all over the pitch today, I'm not that comfortable with him putting the loss down to individual player error when we all know that the biggest problem is the one he created with his selection. I have basically lost absolutely all confidence in the man. He shows absolutely no signs of learning from his mistakes and his post match bullshit is now really pissing me off. Quote
HomerJay Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Has the clown given his thoughts on the "barclays Premierleague" match yet? I wonder who he wants to blame this week Queue whole sale changes, with Jussi restored, Steinsson dropped, and FB not even to make the bench next match!! yup, he thought we played well in the 2nd half the mind boggles Quote
HomerJay Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Coyle fucked up big time today and has not had the bottle to hold his hands up. I dont mind folk trying something but it was clear that without 4 -5 - 1 we couldnt get the ball. Stuborn bastard wouldnt change it and has cost us. At half time Ngog, Eagles and SKD should have come off for the Jap, Klasnic and Muamber. Low and behold he takes off Petrov, the only player who was getting in behind the Wigan defence. The only chance we have now is Muamber, NRC, Mavies in centre with Petrov / Jap out wide getting in behind defence and one up top. Please do not play Ngog again, useless for me. im not having this, only player who actually wanted to get the ball down and play today. hes never gonna be a goalscorer but the service is none existant. Bono Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Back after an extended break lads but where was Mark Davis today? Out of position ? Quote
MickyD Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Coyle is guilty of paying wigan no respect. To play skd can only be in the hope of bullying the wigan players but I great his over-physical days are well and truly over. When will wheater stop resorting to rugby tackles once his man has got round him? It's happening every game. One our two pyrotechnic loving Wigan fans can probably expect a six o'clock knock. What a set of knob heads. Quote

mickbrown Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 That was the match that got us relegated and displays the total and utter naivety or arrogance of the clown. I ain't quite sure which it is yet. Somehow he stumbled on a system that works yet for reasons known into himself think, nah fuck it we'll try the system that hasn't worked all season. Clown. I'd sack him on the basis of that team selection alone Quote

Zico Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 we regressed big time today after the apparent progress made since the start of the year when we played to our strengths, i.e. 4-5-1 by all means play 4-4-2 if, by insisting on two attacking wide men you have two tacklers in midfield even when we equalised i knew the next goal would be scored by wigan just because of how they'd bossed it first half and were going through the middle with ease i was expecting changes at half time but didn't think he'd take off the only player who'd actually threatened in the first half i dont think coyle is stubborn either, i'd say he's naively optimistic Quote
Zico Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 however the wigan fans provided great entertainment, highlight being the steward who soaked the fuckers with the fire extinguisher from the balcony when putting out the flare in the middle of the stand Quote
Didledee Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I got called negative for saying Wigan would win, what I didn't predict was that utter appalling performance, what was the Everton and Liverpool wins for if we're then going to lose twice in a row to Norwich and Wigan, it's a complete joke and now we're well and truly back to being in massive trouble. Pathetic from Coyle and the players, getting outplayed at home to Wigan when you need to win, what do they think they're doing!? What has K.Davies done to warrant a start? what has Muamba done wrong? what was wrong with 4-5-1? Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Owen Coyle is a nice bloke. but a shite manager and thick as fuck. Wigan bossed the midfield, but if we'd had an extra man in there (Muamba) we'd have won the game. Every bloke in the world could see it - but not Coyle. His subs - 2 softie wingers off, 2 softie wingers on....one ineffective "striker" off,one ineffective striker on FF.S The man is totally fookin clueless. Quote
ROSSENDALEWHITE Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 When I see coyle again on thurs at dw soccerdome in Blackburn picking his son up! I'll be asking him a few questions!! Quote
kaydan Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a definition of insanity. That and wearing short shorts on the bench in the middle of winter. I fear this mad man is going to take us down. Quote
Bobcat Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 the fact that the bolton news and coyle seem obsessed with this bollocks of k Davies still has place to play...blah blah blah.... coyle hasn't learnt a thing with this 451 the stupid Irish cunt Quote
frank_spencer Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 however the wigan fans provided great entertainment, highlight being the steward who soaked the fuckers with the fire extinguisher from the balcony when putting out the flare in the middle of the stand Loved that moment, twas belting. Sat in a box in the west stand for my dads 60th, if i had loadsa money it'd be the only way to go. As for the lack of performance from the whites the least said the better. Whats the point in getting positive results against the likes of liverpool and Arsenal if we fuck it up against norridge and wiggin? Quote
roybarker Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 what positives will he take from thjat game we were never tight enough from start to finish he has filled the club with championship players were we will be next season Quote
sirnatlofty Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 if this shit goes on i can see us being another pompey, and degenerate into wimbledon. in 10 years it will be horwich rovers or something as equally wank. Quote
onefinfrandsen Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Coyle made a few blunders today and is in danger of losing the dressing room, if its true and fab was late then its pretty big price to pay to leave him out. to play kd was mistake number 2 as his legs have gone and it took ngog out of the game at the same time because we were missing him out in a bid to try and feed kd. error number 3 was taking the arm band off nrc,he has been our player of the season and a proper leader , today he played like he had been undermined, today feels like the final nail in the coffin. Can't disagree with any of that. You could also say say that Coyle lost that game 3 times over - with his starting 442 & KD, with not changing the formation at half-time when we were being overrun at home by the team adrift at the bottom, and with not changing the formation when MarkD's goal out of the blue dragged us back into the game. It takes a very high degree of ineptitude to achieve that. Quote
magic legs Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 The only way we could try 442 is Muamba and NRC in the middle and Sordell with Ngog & Sordell up front. Quote
Bono Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Coyle is struggling with the pressure. Doesn't know his arse from his elbow at the moment. Take a deep breath and sort it out. Quote
jules_darby Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 First team meet for Home games 1.30-1.50pm Apparently Muamba ran through the hotel bit where they come in at 1.55pm Might be nothing, but...... Quote

Happy Wanderer Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 A truly gutless performance by the whole team. Message to OC ..The 442 just does not work with the lazy spineless Eagles on the wing, we may as well play with 10 men. If we can't beat a Wigan side who look down and out, then surely we are too. FFS they outplayed us, what does that say. Rant over. Quote
