Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Luvverly 😀

Best fish & chips in the country & I've done a lot of research on the subject 🙂.

Fucking boiling again.

Just been inside my polytunnel doing some pruning.

Someone thought it was a good idea to thread an extension lead through a grape vine.

The pruning shears won, big fuck off flash, and all sockets in the house went off.

Good things those control boards.

Didn't get dead, but the twatting heat is ridiculous in there and fucks with your concentration levels.

🤣

Reminds me of when I tried to strip a car interior for parts... bastard mate made sure the airbags were working before I arrived!

I'm growing potatoes in a bucket & also in a sand bag. There's plenty foliage & I've kept topping up the soil.......but when is it time to "harvest" them ? is it when they flower or have I made that up ?

Mine are in tubs too.

Didn't mound them up this year as I'd seen a chap on YouTube do it differently.

I'll be harvesting some soon so will find out.

Yes, when the flowers start and the stems start to die off.

Must water mine again tomorrow- during this heat, ones in tubs can dry out quicker.

If I can find the vid, I'll post it on here.

A Welsh chap and got huge yields.

I was watching a bit of the Scottish Open earlier, or watching the players stand around at least

Looking at the weather there, it's hard to believe we're on the same island

Yeah saw some of that. Was thinking you jammy bastards 😄.

Wild fires all over the shop currently.

Including one around Dovestone reservoir.

Family could see the smoke and an orange glow from Belmont earlier.

They've made an arrest in the Dovestone one

Grandson was up Saddleworth way on Sunday playing rugby and daughter said there were fires on the moors

There was one not too far away a couple of weeks back, smoke had drifted across from an easterly area.

The Dovestones one isn’t that far from us as you know. The smell is horrendous and yesterday the smoke was so bad it was like a mist rolling through

As @Lt. Aldo Raine said one arrest so far. Brain dead cunt filmed herself setting fireworks off, inhaling balloons, etc. Plenty of other videos doing the rounds so expect a few knocks on the door over the next few days. Destroyed land, dead animals, etc. These cunts need the book thrown at them

Absolutely.

Show them the pictures from Spain, where even an accidental fire has cost lives- including 4 Britons potentially.

Bell ends.

Had a walk over the moor back of Whitby yesterday where the wild fires were last September... big patches of black dust where the heather was...so sad, my feet were like a moon astronauts when I got back... all black and dusty.

Reckon that was caused by wild camping.

Bastards

Noticed that a couple of months ago when I was over that way. Fields and fields of purple, now black and lifeless. Proper shame.

Let me know when you're next over and we can have a beer

I'm over there a few times a year, but never in a "go for a beer" scenario. Will let you know if I ever am. Absolutely love that part of the country. Staithes has got to be one of the most beautiful places in the UK.

I'd never heard of Staithes. Looks like a Cornish seaside village.

It's properly fucking lovely. Quite a treck from the car park to the harbour and back up again. But well worth it. Known locally as 'cardiac hill'.

Saw an interesting piece on the local news the other day. The fire brigade are now deliberately burning parts of the moors in an attempt to stop fires spreading further. Makes sense to me.

Great beach.

Dogs got sand blasted there as the wind picked up.

Do not put phones in the fridge, warns Wem phone repair shop

Jamie Farnell says he is inundated with phone repairs, "almost all of them" due to the heat.

I'd describe Staithes beach as more of a "cove", go round the headland to Runswick Bay and thats more of a "beach", similar village to Staithes.

Was in Boggle Hole yesterday getting blatted by the spray, back home now☹️

Haha I lay in my garden on Sunday with a hangover.

Left my phone out and it shutdown till it cooled down. I did actually think of putting it in the fridge D
