Looks like 38 points is safety

Blackburn can't get there, so are, probably, down

Hope they beat Wigan next week, then

Cracking results today. After recent results i was a tad nervous we might see some upsets, i hope that thrashing really knocks QPR confidence.

I think we will be safe but expect some drama. Baggies at home won't be as easy as everyone thinks.

I don't think anyone thinks it's going to be easy. Most, though, believe that positive mental attitude starts here and predicting a home defeat isn't part of the positive thinking we need from the team.

There are, however, one or two who love negative thinking and sulk like fucking kids when you comment on it.

I've noticed a few of the serial doom mongers have been absent from here for a week or so.

We do seem to play with fear at home, so not too confident.

However recent performances (Fulham apart) give some hope.

NRC looked knackered Sat when he came off. Spuds looked none-too sharp today, Jackburn made them look better than they were. Will be tough but they don't look the side they were earlier in the season

If we come right at them and get ahead then I believe we will stay up no problem.

If we're not successful against spuds then the doubts will return v WBA and it will go right to the wire.

I wonder if that's because the team are scared to fuck up because they don't want the rest of the game to include the crowd having a dig. Bolton fans show little support once a player misplaces a pass.

No doubt

It's a bit chicken and egg though, sometimes a spark from the team can ignite the crowd.

Think it'll be different Wed. As this thread shows the majority believe we can stay up, and I reckon that will be conveyed in the stands

They need us now more than any other time this season, lets just back the lads for the last 2 home games.

i think it will be an electric atmosphere on wednesday. got to keep tottenham quiet early on then really get into them. i think the england job business unsettled some of their players but i don't think it's going to work in their favour now it seems like 'arry ain't getting the job. a lot of spurs fans have actually been having a go at redknapp recently and want him to leave,so i'm hoping this will unsettle them even further now

Have to say up

Way the last few weeks have gone would prob be more confident if we had two away games and one at home

Ok I want us to stay up or I wouldnt be on this forum

But suppose Blackburn beat Wigan and lose at Chelsea (34 points)

Wigan lose both their games (37 points)

QPR beat stoke lose City (37 points)

all highly likely

How then to we get 38 points to stay up???

Likely Spurs will beat us as they are fired up for 4th place

so we must beat WBA & take a draw from Stoke?

Oh my ancestors...I can't see this happening.

I cant see this happening please prove me wrong you white men, I cant face going to Millwall away again next season. Rumours we will administrate if we go down..

Don't think you really needed to point out that scenario, think we're all aware.

You sound a lot like Diddles by the way.

reads the same big or small, tell me not to worry

All of the above could happen, but i'd like to think we have the momentum with us at the moment, we seem to have found the belief at the right time. look at qpr and blackburn today, i'd rather be in our shoes than theirs.

Just hope that we have a plan to deal with Bale. Probably need Steinsson fit with some decent cover in front of him.

But there's no reason why we shouldn't win if we put them under early. They've never liked playing against SKD when we get decent balls into the box. And the quality of crossing has improved tremendously recently.

We have a great chance of staying up now and I will be giving it a good shout on Wednesday. I've never been one for getting on players' backs during a game.

Not sure why you seem so certain we won't take 4 from 3 when we've just taken 14 from 8

Looks like Gallas and Kaboul at the back as well. They have playing v SKD, we'll shit 'em. 1-1 :blum:

Bit late on this one....Staying up but by the skin of our teeth.

Gutted cant make Wednesday but dont even have a pot to piss in at the mo.

You can borrow my kids ticket Its a junior but I'm sure you will get in with it.

Up, just. Helped by yesterday's results

I'm certain it will go to the last day, cant believe we havent yet sold out for Stoke

up.

7 points from the last 3 games, got me optimistic hat on today :D

we need 4 points which we will have by Sunday evening. we are staying up!
