White on Tyne Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Hull? Maybe he's been a naughty boy and the adult equivalent of sending him to his room. Quote
miamiwhite Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 You cant compare deals player for player , but you can compare value for money ! Thats how you get good buys, which are value for money. Looking/Scouting around for good players, maybe down on their luck, or not gettig on with manager, or not fitting a system. = Pienaar Even counting the full amount Jelavic would have cost £6 Million, Pienaar £5 million, Gibson £1 million! Everyone knew they were available!! pablo - would you say pienaar is good value at £4.5million,considering you sold him for just £3million ? he may not come back as the same player, being damaged goods at tottenham etc Quote

We know how good he will be, as he finished the season with us. Spurs dont really get had over, with transfer fee's. If we didnt stump up, they would be happy to let him rot, like they have with so many players. Pienaar is a cracking player for us, so yes he is worth it. Remember we sold him, with 4 months left on his contract. Quote
Traf Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Isn't £4.5m a lot of money for a guy in his 30's? Quote
Pablo Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Isn't £4.5m a lot of money for a guy in his 30's? Yes, I think it is ! The way I look at it, he makes us a better team, and he is guarenteed to fit in with every aspect of the club ! (£2,5 million upfront) Quote
miamiwhite Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 fulham have had their initial bid for jordan rhodes rejected by huddersfield. SSN saying it was £2million plus add-ons. Blackburn also meant to be entering the bidding now Quote
wayne cramp Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Not sure if this is in the correct section as it doesnt involve everton, but according to arsenal site benik afobe has signed a season long loan Quote

dirty barsteward Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Another season another hot prospect ?? http://younggunsblog.co.uk/2012/08/arsenal-allow-benik-afobe-to-continue-his-development-at-bolton/?#.UBmLLWt5mK0 Quote
passmosster Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Another season another hot prospect ?? http://younggunsblog.../?#.UBmLLWt5mK0 So who will he play instead of? I saw him play for Huddersfield a while ago. He was the original blue arsed fly running all over the pitch, but a bloody awful finisher. I hope that he has improved and I guess that I would be disappointed if he got starts ahead of Sordell. And come to think of it, I didn't think that he was that much better than Eaves or O'Halloran who are our players. Still it keeps Coyle's love affair with Arsene going. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I can smell a headless chicken last 15 desperate sub (no its not a fancy sarny) from a long way and benik is very whiffy Quote
Casino Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 i've never heard of him but hope we get some value fact it was between us and millwall doesn't excite me Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I'm not interested in being a nursery club for Arsenal or any other club Coyles recent loans have been a pile of shit, my message to Owen is sign proven quality that's better than we have or dont bother. Quote
frank_spencer Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Love the fact the wways brain trust has written him off already. Coyle wanted another forward as pointed out the other day he already has 2 he spent nigh on £8m on and the club captain. A young prem striker on loan was the only realistic option. Quote
DazBob Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Speaking with a mate tonight who's dad works at the club, the deal for Sanchez was done and dusted weeks ago. Quote
Eddie Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 We needed a 4th striker to add depth to the squad, we already have 2 youngish players who we have spent money on and will probably be 1st choice, plus the club captain who is still likely to play a fair share of games, like frank_spencer said a young striker on loan was really the only option. As for Afobe, he kept Jordan Rhodes out of the team for half of Huddersfields games in the season before last. He played away from home when there was only 1 up front, and they both played up front when they were at home, he was also preferred to Rhodes in the play off final that season. I'm not saying that he's going to score the goals that Rhodes has, but he is a very good option IMO to complete the 4 strikers in the 1st team. Quote

Afobe played 13 times for Reading last season and scored no goals that's why I'm not holding out a great deal of hope, Coyle seems to think just because players are at Arsenal and Chelsea that there automatically world beaters, I would prefer to give our lads a chance. Pablo Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Not really transfer news, but Inter to build their own stadium, and now have investment to do so. The Milan / Inter comparison for shared grounds is now fecked ! Quote
DazBob Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Does my nut in if I'm talking about "Milan" and some thick cunt will ask, "Which one? Inter or AC?" Just saying. Quote

The changing rooms are no better than those we had at Burnden Park Quote
