August 7, 201214 yr My thoughts are the same. He bust a gut for us last season playing the last 4 or 5 games injured. Besides Muamba, he was our only midfielder with any defensive capability. I'd have him back to-morrow, but I doubt if he'd come unless he had no other alternatives.

He's out of contract and in a good position. He's not playing for the love of the game, he's playing for money - like all players are. Problem he has is if his agent blows it out of his arse too much and he ends up with no wage at all. It could happen, which is why I think he'll be back once his agent has been told a few times that kind of money is laughable for a nobody player.
