I think its absolutely fooking brilliant, loads of folk who live in and around Bolton and have no connection with Liverpool support the liverpool teams, I hope neither of them ever win anything again.

can understand 'em 'supporting' liverpool

its everton i don't get

any other news on this Colombian Carlos Sanchez Moreno, SSN seem to think we are set to land him

Mwah

"Roma only took control of Borini’s full ownership last month with a €5.3m blind auction bid against co-owners Parma.

The player, unused at Euro 2012, has cost the capital club about €9m in total. Liverpool’s bid is thought to be around €10m."

Are they realy close to spending £20 Million on Borini and Dempsey !!!!!?????!!!!!

Isn't Dempsey in the last year of his contract? - if so, I can't see him costing £10M

As for Borini, some bloke on the radio earlier was saying that Roma would be looking for at least €15M for him - I can't see Liverpool paying that, unless they get soem cash in from flogging Carroll

Dempsy will be a free transfer won't he?

No, he's still under contract.

just realised, he's just about to enter his last year I think

Depends how much interest there is in him. Midfielders who can notch 20 goals per season are hard to come by. Citeh spunked over £20 on Nasri last season didn't they and he was in the last season of his contract.

Dempsey's a cracking player.

this is Liverpool we're talking about, their transfer advisors read rumors in the papers and assume other clubs are after their targets so throw shit loads of money around to get average players without anyone else being interested.

i think dempsey has peaked, and Liverpool will sign a good player but don't think he'll match his fulham levels though.

I like dempsey but he will not manage double figures next season, no matter where he is.

I'll bet you £1 he does :)

48 hours followed by another 48 hours. Repeat to fade.

Paddy Kenny has signed for leeds, i assume we will press on with lonergan now!

Also someone was telling me we have to take Reo-Coker back if he does'nt find a club, surely this has to be bollocks?

No, I think that's true. Something about contract law, it came up in discussions a few years back on here, I think.

Really? He cancelled his contract and yet we have to take him back... Something isn't right with that.

It would be quite amusing if we had to take him back... Wonder if he will get a rousing reception and the captains armband?

I think not

i'd be very pleased to have him in a bolton shirt, again

but it's not hjappening

It's not much different to the Knight situation, expect Reo Coker decided he was going straight away instead of hanging about for a couple of months to test the water elsewhere.

I thought Knight's contract had expired meaning no there were no contractual obligations for either side to adhere to, whereas Reo-Coker was/is still under contract for at least another 12 months yet chose to excercise a clause (that he must've insisted on) to enable him to end the contract upon relegation?

There's little doubt Reo-Coker will be a dominant force in midfield in the Championship, but I am a little uncomfortable with a player coming back who made as clear a sign as possible that he didn't want to play for us any longer.

You would also think that the club had budgeted for his wages to be spent elsewhere.

I too would be surprised though if a Barclays Premier League club doesn't snaffle him up.

the problem i think NRC might have is that he wants to sign up for a team that wont be in a relegation scrap so that would limit his options as i dont thnk he can attract above average mid table sides.

I'd have him back but i suspect he will find a club maybe even abroad.

We wanted both players to remain at the club on reduced terms.

Reo Coker activated his release clause before he'd taken his boots off, Knight went on his holidays with his phone tucked into his trunks. It never rang. He came back.

In that sense, it's the same.

I don't think we would be obliged to take him back. I'm sure the club would be able to argue that the reversal of the waiver would be an injustice because we've already replaced NRC in the squad/on the wage bill.
