madthatter Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 (edited) We're not far off having a team for league games and one for cup games. You'd like to think we can't have the same amount of bad luck with injuries that we had last season. League team :- ------------------------Bogdan --Mears-------Ream-------Mills-----Ricketts --Chungy---Holden*---Andrews---Petrov -----------Sordell-----------Ngog *Obviously, once (if) Holden is finally back to full fitness. Cup team :- ------------------Lonergan? --Riley------Knight--------?-------Alonso --Eagles-----Pratley---Davies----Wylde ------------Davies------? Don't say it Daz, just don't say it;) Edited July 9, 2012 by madthatter Quote
Rembrandt Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 What sort of Cup opposition would our midfield of Pratley & Mark Davies work against ? Just wondering like ..... Quote

DazBob Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Anybody who doesn't think that K Davies will be a starter is deluded. So you think Coyle will start him because because it's the right thing to do/best thing for the team? Have you learned nothing from last season? Quote
Traf Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Coyle will start with him, despite it probably not being for the best. That's what I learned last season #coylesastubbornfucker Quote

Farrelli Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 We currently have three recognised forwards in the first team squad (discounting the kids). We start with three games in a week and will therefore need to use all the forwards. I am sure OC has thought of rotating them, unless someone thinks SKD will play 46 games. Quote

Kev Davies will start most games on the bench and will be a valuable impact player off the bench, the less we have to play him the better season were having. Quote

I agree but there may be quite a few games that require a big target man from the start. Zigic and Carlton Cole had decent records last year and they were bobbins in the previous PL season. Quote

DazBob Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) So is baines move to Scum £16m is good money for a left back! An average one at that Bit harsh that. He's an average left-back who's good at set-pieces. Moyes can sign Ian Harte from Reading for a fraction of that £16m and Everton will be no worse off yet still be able to harp on about spending no money. Win/win for Moyes. Ah well, more money to go to the bank, with the £20 million raised in sales last season, for Moyes to get £3 Million to spend!!! Dempsey and Borini to Liverpool - £15 Mill.......!!!! Quote
