HoldensHairdo Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Nixon says no truth in Robinson Would like to think Romeu would be superb at Championship level - would he come to us? Quote
Arrested development Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Is he? He's played around 950 Premier League minutes - I'm going to guess you haven't a clue how good he is. 950 minutes, some of his appearances being as sub, equates to about 15 games. Considering Chelsea's midfield, he's 20, and it was his first season in the prem, that is a decent number of games. Barca also have first refusal on him, a clause which is there because they obviously see some potential. the games i have seen him play, he looks a premiership player. imo he wont drop down to championship. White Shirt Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I remember Romeu playing in the Champions League against Valencia just before AVB got sacked. Played the full 90 minutes. He was brilliant Be very shocked if we got him Quote
HomerJay Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I too think Romeo looks miles above the level of our squad. And I've only seen him 3 or 4 times. Quote
Garrp Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Any Spurs youngsters Coyles mate AVB could lend us? Quote
miamiwhite Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 think he was asked that earlier on twitter re livermore and rose. certainly worth coyle trying with his connections Quote
glossopWANDERER Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 The loans won't happen untill the last few weeks. The clubs will want to take a good look at them in pre season games unless the hopeless Quote
miamiwhite Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 aye, nixon's hinted at that on a few occasions recently. i think we'll get a couple of decent loan additions, still having Chalobah as the one from Chelsea,Romeu won't be keen on dropping a division Quote
jagermoot Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Im pretty gutted that park ji sung is goin to qpr for 2 mill, id like to think CYL would've or could've had a word and coyle could've used his silver tongue to get him to drop a division. Quote
miamiwhite Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 we couldn't pay his wages. qpr are going daft,Hoillet next on their list at £75k apparently. No way is he worth that Quote

miamiwhite Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 He was offered more to stay at Blackburn in Jan. Honestly ? i bet they couldn't offer that money now. Got a nice warm feeling that they're going to go tits up this year and struggle massively. their signings are injury prone and too many egos Quote

stevieb Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 phil jones wasn't at blackburn in january No room for facts here. You know the rules! Quote
EyesRight Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) phil jones wasn't at blackburn in january I know, they offered it him in summer, and offered Hoillet same £80k, 5 year deal in Jan. Wanting to spend high on wages to tie down young assets to make money on. Jones is on less than that at Man Utd as well, not much like but still gets abuse off Rovers fans for leaving for money. Leaving for money !!?? Deluded them fookers, I too can see them dropping like a brick, more live chicken pitch invasions next season please. Quote
passmosster Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 we're worryingly light in centre midfield any acquisitions need to be there a keeper and centre back Agree on the first. If Coyle plays 4-4-2 with 2 wingers the 2 in central midfield will be knackered by Christmas. I don't get this Lonergan signing. 29 yo lump who Brown dropped at PNE for a loanee from Everton. Probably on big wages to sit on the bench. All the while Coyle goes on about building a team of exciting young players. Must admit I've almost given up listening to the BS. Quote
Garrp Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 What on earth is wrong with the lonegran signing ffs Im fed up that the sky is blue and the sun is yellow ffs Quote
Uncle Albert Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 What on earth is wrong with the lonegran signing ffs Im fed up that the sky is blue and the sun is yellow ffs Doesnt bother me either way, he wont plary. Bogdan will. With us only having Lainton and Lynch, as experienced older head will do if anything happens to Bogdan. Quote

Sweep Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I think/hope we'll have a good old fashioned cup run this season It's a long, hard season in the Championship, I reckon we'll be ditching out of the cups at the earliest opportunity Quote
DazBob Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 It's a long, hard season in the Championship, I reckon we'll be ditching out of the cups at the earliest opportunity We're not far off having a team for league games and one for cup games. You'd like to think we can't have the same amount of bad luck with injuries that we had last season. League team :- ------------------------Bogdan --Mears-------Ream-------Mills-----Ricketts --Chungy---Holden*---Andrews---Petrov -----------Sordell-----------Ngog *Obviously, once (if) Holden is finally back to full fitness. Cup team :- ------------------Lonergan? --Riley------Knight--------?-------Alonso --Eagles-----Pratley---Davies----Wylde ------------Davies------? Quote
