why did reebok want to buy yhe club out right but the board refused to show them the books from years gone by???? dodgy bastards

I'm not sure this rumour was ever true, why would Reebok want to buy BWFC? how would it fit in with there business plan? Does anyone actually have any factual evidence that Reebok were interested?

I might be making this up

but im sure Gartside said the other day that Eddies loan is interest free?

Like I said, this was news to me and I could have mis-read it

or I could have just made it up

?We?ve got a ?10million overdraft with Barclays, in fact Barclays raised that this year to ?15million, and the rest of the debt is actually better described as equity because it is Eddie?s debt. It doesn?t get interest on it and he is there for the long-term.?

He did say that. The accounts say that Eddie is picking up over ?5 million in interest. Or rather his company is.

I loved Okocha as a player, but this article sums up how much the modern footballing mercenary is out of touch with reality.

Just keep borrowing cash and throwing it at players in the hope of success. If it goes wrong, it doesn't matter - except to the fans when the club goes tits up. But never mind eh, plenty of other clubs around to make a few bob out of.

No business in the world (and football clubs are a business) can survive like that. The team Allardyce left was average at best - it had certainly peaked some time earlier, which is why he fucked off rather than attempting to rebuild. Sammy Lee wasn't a great manager, but he got saddled with no backroom staff (thanks BSA), declining players and the need to buy a squad for Europe. We never recovered from that with Megson and Coyle got saddled with Megson's contractual attempts to patch it up.

Thanks JJ, you were a great player for us. But keep your business lessons to yourself.

yep,the accounts certainly back up the interest payments to his company.

what i can't work out though is where he's based ?

one says isle of man,yet one says fildraw or fildrew, his trust, is based in bermuda ?

before any smart arses say i've done their roof, then it's an UNITK rumour............worthingtons on chorley old road did a hotel in '86 there,it's even on their website

I presumes he's domicile in the Isle of Man, but his company is registered in Bermuda......both of these will no doubt be for various tax reasons, which will be beyond the comprehension of us mere mortals

Eddie Davies lives in the Isle of Man.

Burnden Leisure and Fildraw are based in Bermuda run by the Bermuda Trust Company which is owned by HSBC Bank

Moonshift Investments, the company we owe money to is based in the British Virgin Islands.
