Ona more serious note, someone should have a word with the club about swapping the Morecambe and Crewe dates. Seaside day outs should be at the weekend.

  • If we hammer a load of part-timers or not has absolutely fuck all to do with anything. They need to get fit, nothing more. It is still mid-July, this doesn't qualify as competitive football, it's a ki

Now im fucking annoyed

I read not 2 days ago that we wouldnt risk Knight and risk losing him for a long period

for fucks sake

Relax . . . we have rested the main Centre Backs in order that they don't get injured.

We do seem to be taking much more precautions in these friendlies than last season... so lessons are being learned!

I'm praying for a back 4 of Riley, Mills, Ream, Alonso in 2 weeks time and I'll be happy if I never see Zat again after that!

When did he become anything other than complete and utter dogshit? Swap Ricketts for him and I'd completely agree with you.

Double post.

There's no doubt Coyle is nursing his players through per-season and I can't blame him with what happened last season. My take on todays game are as follows:

Tyrone Mears the new John Okane

Knight as uncommitted as last season

Pratley dear oh dear I can only hope he's still rusty from the virus and lacks match sharpness unfortunately fans are right on his back and he might be better going on loan somewhere.

Andrews is a steady Eddie.

Mark Davies to me does not know what position/ role he has in the team.

Petrov bright spark looks the best player on the pitch.

LCY nursing himself through games not worried about him he is the best player in the championship and will show it.

SKD let's drop the S but he's still a handful unfortunately he would have been more effective in the 1950s the less game time he gets will mean we're doing ok and hope he's not called on to often.

Upfront absolutely nothing there, we need Ngog and Sordell to bring there A games to the party or were not going to have a slight chance.

Owen Coyle, running a rag bag and bobtail show nothing looks coordinated nothing looks like a plan, I'm not impressed.

Wylde I like the look of direct aggressive, pacy and hungry, same with Riley, Vela obviously likes to pick a pass and can get round the pitch but do me a favour the comparisons with Gerrad are embarrassing, oh and he's too light weight and will get batters in the championship.

Oh and some of our fans, embarrassing is letting them off lightly.

Lets hope the players hit the ground hard and fast, after all this league is WEAK.

I trust your your opinion more than most of this forum Mounts.

I agree with most of that... I also accept my comparison of Vela to Gerrard may be a little 'lofty' at this stage... but I was more referring to a visual comparison of the way he moves n shapes to strike the ball. He's proved nothing yet but I think it's promising... which is probably all that was being said about Gerrard at his age too!

Nothing wrong with a bit of positivity about one of our young lads I'm just adding some balance, hope your more right than I am, what I will say is the young lads Riley, Vela, OHallaron all showed a spark and willingness that I liked.

Shit is too good a word

Travel club types singing shit songs

Travel club types singing shit songs

got to love them eh... :nea:

You mean the songs about slitty eyes and eating dogs?

The cynical songs aimed at Pratley serve no positive purpose, what the other players must think about the fans I dont know, it can't help motivate them. No beer at half times and 10 men Bolton fans slagging of the bar staff and defenceless and harmless stewards at a friendly family club. Very brave lads, when we play the likes of Leeds,Brum, Millwall good chance they will be hiding in the toilets.

I saw a couple of people move away from the group singing all the wanky songs to sit elsewhere. The Munich chants, songs about Lee's appearance, Alonso being a killer and Klasnic a rapist are one thing - uncalled for and tasteless, but I agree with Mounts Kipper about the ones directly criticising individual players like Pratley. Yes, he's poor, really poor, but it cant help him when he's getting dog's abuse all game and with how close the pitch was to the stands today it was all virtually being shouted to his face!

Could not agree more, the pratley abuse was awful and some of the other chants were odd. I'd hoped some of these 'fans' would desert us without our premier status. Oh well.

Heard the same bunch moaning at Crewe's ground, most of these so called fans have only known Premier league football and stadiums....maybe they'll get bored and f**k off

You should've let me know you were there pal. I'd have had a beer with you at half time. Oh, hang on a minute... :)
