Ona more serious note, someone should have a word with the club about swapping the Morecambe and Crewe dates. Seaside day outs should be at the weekend.

  • If we hammer a load of part-timers or not has absolutely fuck all to do with anything. They need to get fit, nothing more. It is still mid-July, this doesn't qualify as competitive football, it's a ki

The reason we are having a Scottish tour is because the Scottish teams are only a few weeks away from kicking of there seasons on the 4th of august meaning they are now looking to have players playing

JSL

So do I

even after all these years.

is it just me, but that kit looks smart as fook.

not that i'm bothered like.

Not sure it'll go too well with jeans though.

Darker jeans maybe, but not Little Whitt's stonewashed numbers.

even after all these years.

Aye me too. Even before most of the shit between us, they used to get massively disproportionate coverage on KickOff for what will always be a toytown club.

The Eric Nixon, Mark Hughes, Jim Steel era, lauded like celebrities.

When we won there 3-1, I could have died and gone to heaven

Is the goals knocking about anywhere? Keep checking Sky Sports news but nothing.

That's just made me realise that I've not had sky sports on since Olympics began. Usually on all day long.

You're not missing anything anyway, why they persist with talking about events they have no coverage for is beyond me. Wimbledon, Euro2012 and London2012 they have talked to death all summer with the occasional still picture.

They might aswell just cease transmission for 2 months and just have Hayley Mcqueen jumping on a trampoline on a 24 hour loop.

I'll let you off just this once ... and only because you might not have been made aware of the rules.

You owe me one.

Thank you and apologies, I assume you couldnt find a swimming cap picture of her.

Not at all. She's quite tidy unlike the other one.

Live from shay, yep, losing.

Worst pie ever eaten at any ground & £3 for a can of tetley's, bloody awful all round.

Looking for an upside in the second half.

Oh, & Sammy lee is miserable as buggery.

Full Time - FC Halifax Town 1 - 0 Bolton Wanderers

I blame Mark Davies

Sell him to Swansea for a bag of pork scratchings, 4 beermats and a blue WKD

I went to the Halifax game to tick the ground off my list. Nice afternoon, nice town, half decent ground (looks nothing like it does on that video of our pitch invasion in late 80s!)

Eaves, just as he was at Radcliffe a few weeks ago, was one lazy, crap-touch, knackered-looking waste of time! Had high hopes for him after he scored that screamer against United in Reserve Cup Final a couple of years ago, but he looks so far off the first team its a wonder why hes still with us

Can't argue with that, though to be honest, on that performance I don't think any of them will be knocking on the first team door for a while.

Was looking forward to seeing what all the hype was about the young Kellett lad at left back, not great on tonights showing, quite useful bombing forward but questionable in defence, Halifax's number 7 was getting quite a few decent crosses in, with Kellett not even anywhere near.

Shocking to see all 11 back at corners aswell, not boding well for that shite tactic being eradicated anytime soon.

On a plus note, really enjoyed a cheeky wee 4% called Red Baron, in the Three Pigeons. Quite quaffable with a tangy after taste, not mixing well with the shite pie though!! Already had to open all the windows when I've got home, could knock out an elephant with these rum gaseous aftermaths

Who the fuck was mountford?

Sean Mountford. Plays for Biddulph Town, had a trial at Port Vale last season.

I was looking forward to seeing Kellett too - cant believe how many times he was out of position, all Halifax's attacks came down that side and we were let off only by some rubbish crossing especially first half. As soon as a decent cross went in, thats where the goal came from!

He missed an absolute sitter as well first half one-on-one.

I went in the Three Pigeons too. Looked to have a great selection of ales... but I was on Lowenbrau, at city centre prices!

Changed at Huddersfield on the way back, it looked like they had played Barcelona B as well, lots of "Huddersfield ST Holders" around and people with Barca shirts/flags

*Ah, didnt see the Bolton v Barca thread already mentioning Huddersfield had played them

How many non-defending full-backs do we need ?

How many non-defending full-backs do we need ?

To be honest that seems the norm now, it's a sad state that anybody even half competent at defending is deemed a world beater.
