Whites man Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I went to Old Trafford for the footy today & last Sunday, was good to watch a match without being nervous as hell. No petty acts of vandalism from me but I picked an argument with a bloke blocking a turnstile, got to use the "I'm not your mate" and "I am making it my business" lines:) Quote
MalcolmW Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Suzuki is the early leader in the 20k walk. Quote

miamiwhite Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 what an absolute joy to see. 3 young british female athletes smiling and singing to the national anthem. our athletes in these games have put the overrated wankers known as footballers to shame, top class effort from TEAM GB Quote

Could you imagine a football manager telling his lads they can't go to a concert? Quote
miamiwhite Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 A commentator on 5 live today was slating footballers bigtime. he said some simply wear the headphones to pretend they can't hear young kids asking for autographs etc. valid point IMO. i agree with you NB, on what they go through to get there. it's true dedication and so much preparation goes on,it's untrue. our dominance is breathtaking and an absolute pleasure to watch i bet if we could turn the clock back, everyone would have turned out to watch the torch being carried through bolton. idle bastards the lot of us Quote
frank_spencer Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 If the GB lads win a medal in the footy what will folk get all sanctimonious about then? Why do folk feel the need to use rowers/cyclists doing well at their chosen sport as a chance to lambaste footballers? Yes some of them are twunts but so are folk in every walk of life. Quote
