Was thinking Amsterdam when Ajax were at home. (anyone know how to get tickets ?)

 

Anyone got any other ideas of places abroad that are cheap to get to and cheap when you get there ?

I wouldn't have thunk Amsterdam is the best of places if you're on a tight budget.

 

Krakow, Talinn, Riga should all work out much cheaper. Cheaper digs, cheaper ale, cheaper hookers, etc.

in my experience, krakow was a good laugh and very cheap, as was riga in latvia.

 

Amsterdam was bloody expensive but was good.

Skopje as well.

 

As Franny suggests, get on Skyscanner first and see where you can get cheap flights to.

prague as always is good for a do. prices gone up considerably in recent years,but if you venture a mile or so from the main square,prices are still very low

Never spent much in the Dam, suppose you could do, but I've only ever paid about £60 to get there.

 

Cheap as fuck - Porto, fly from Liverpool, 90 cents your Superbock, 6 top flight teams based round there, beach at the end of the metro line.

Apparently, Ryanair from from Man->Tallinn so no need to get the bi-plane, hovercraft over from Helsinki!

I thought it was alright, as far as places that are half Albanian go. Certainly cheap, just it doesn't fit into the cheap to get to category, unless I'm missing something?

 

In that case I'll suggest Bogota, it sounds a hoot.

Hamburg is top notch, cheapish flights with easyjet direct from Manc. We went in April, stayed in a shithole which was only £50 each for 2 nights but you can get better for not much more - try the zleep hotel just off the reeperbahn.

 

Oh yeah, forgot, you've been before - but its still ace.

 

Failing that, try Budapest, Krakow or Wroclaw (Poland). Wroclaw is similar to Krakow but cheaper - direct with Ryanair from Liverpool

I went to the Dam for my stag do....my own personal wonderland,and still top of the tree for stag do's IMO...

 

Found Kracow ok really,and simply not fit to lace Amsterdams boots for a stag do...

 

Felt like they were doing us a favour by letting us be there the whole time.First pub we entered,a gang of square heads followed us in,covered all exits and watched over us during our whole stay,this pretty much happened in every bar we went in.And ignore anyone that says its cheap...because ill tell you now.Its not.

 

Did Bennidorm in May...smashing place for a piss up,and cheap as fucking chips,infact cheaper than that! ...

 

All the bars round the strip and beyond 1 euro a pint all day,and Bogof's of spirits,foods dirts cheap,its full of pissed up english minky and the narcotics are in abundance....what more can you ask for?

 

Pragues great aswell,but its ten years since ive been there,and ive heard its changed a little since then...

The grasshopper bar and the hooters bar pretty much opposite it across the road are the tourist hotspots, get loads of people who dont know where they are going in there, so they can charge the 8 euros a beer

 

Stick to the back street boozers in Amsterdam, away from the red light etc and it can be half as cheap. Me and kempo found a boozer over there, €3 a strongbow, 5 mins walk from black alley

Hamburg is a good shout!

 

we stayed at this Hostel which was nice and quirky. Ale was cheap as fuck in the hostel bar!
