September 12, 201213 yr No one in their right mind can't help but have sympathy for those who lost family in this. It's something any of us who went to the footie in the fence era can relate to. It could have been one of us or someone we knew at any grounds. Sooner they get the truth, the better. The aftermath of all this is likely to be really messy though. Be interesting to see how Cameron words his 'apology' today, as the next step will likely be (as mentioned above) a new enquiry, specific blame and of course, compensation claims. I bet some lawyers are already rubbing their hands together on this one. Which is why the government might be a bit cagey about it all - they know this could lead to long court cases and huge payouts. well thanks to coyle it wont be us

I know what Diddles is trying to say but instead, there are some elements of the 'holier than thou' argument willing to stick their oar in, even though they're wrong. As usual. Again. With the Gary Speed issue what he said was trying to get some honesty out of those folks (many on here) who would slag him off, try to discredit what a rubbish footballing Welshist he was Et. Al. but of course as soon as the news broke about his death then the hypocrites danced the jig of the righteous man and praised him until kingdom come...................... I think those folks should be ASHAMED And all the DMB haters (me included) well what is it to be? Ok for you to slag them off and play satan's fiddle upon sportsmans graves whilst on the other hand commenting upon the Bradford tragedy? Hmmmmmmmmmmm, methinks from the silence of some of the regulars we know REALLY what folks are thinking. Perhaps it's a generation thing or society at large; everything seems to need to be scrutinised to the 'n' th degree and opinion needs to be according to the p.c. norm. We've just seen Clegg's aide calling those opposed to gay marriage as biggots. Similarly anyone who feels the country is full and immigration should be cut is automatically racist. The Bradford question was valid and It did make me think once he raised it as I have and probably will still refer to Munich. It being on the thread of the video also didn't seem to wrong - where else was it to be asked other than on a thread about the Bradford fire? It wasn't as if it was the anniversary #TeamDiddles

What fucked most off this time was his linking of horrors of Bradford, which many of us witnessed on TV to the sad death of some footballers way before many on here were even born. From where I am sitting, it seems to me that this site is one of the few places things can openly be discussed within contemporary legal limits. No one has said he can't comment about anything. He gets a backlash if he says something some consider stupid. Isn't that the nature of a forum? Airing of opinions and reaction to them? As far as Hillsborough is concerned, we all know really that some scouse fans set off a chain of events leading to the tragedy. Are we expected to sweep that under the carpet in the light of the findings of an 'official review'?
