October 9, 201213 yr Crown Plaza in Kensington is really nice. Its located about 1/2 mile from the Royal Albert Hall, 100 yds from Gloucester Road Tube Station, theres a Sainsburys Express and an indoor food court right opposite. Cracking couple of boozers very close that do good home cooked food
October 9, 201213 yr Hilton paddington ticks all those boxes, as does hyde park hilton. City inn victoria is a decent hotel. Try top secret hotel rooms, you can usually work out the hotel from the description. I have never had a bad room through them including above hotels.

October 9, 201213 yr I used to often use the Bonnington on Southampton Row. Handy for Holborn, my profession's HQ being there. Close to Oxford Street, theatreland, British Museum. No idea what it's like nowadays. Edited October 9, 201213 yr by MalcolmW
October 9, 201213 yr Millenium Baileys outside Gloucester Road tube. Not sure how much it cost because I didn't pay - you, the taxpayer did - but it was alright, was near stuff, had a good pub opposite and had Sky Sports. The taxpayer funded breakfast was lovely too.
October 9, 201213 yr Park Plaza, Westminster. Blinder. Central to anything you need. Oh and they do double double rooms, split with a kitchen area and huge bathroom so your lad can sleep in one post code and you rattle the bones off your Nora in another.
October 9, 201213 yr Holiday inn Swiss Cottage right across road from tube station and easy to get to, you can even park the car in its own garage for £25. They do good weekend deals and the rooms are a decent size, if you don't want the usual toast and bird seed breakfast then there is a beltin place nearby.

October 9, 201213 yr Wasn't Holborn famous for the oldest profession in the world? I was thinking High Holborn - near the old Prudential and Pearl head offices. If you count Drury Lane as low holborn you're probably right for days of old.

If you are happy to go relatively budget, try Premier Inn Hampstead (Belsize Park really) very pleasant location, 5 mins from tube, cost £99 for double room (on my own with work but room price is same) mid week three weeks ago, very good for Cenral ish London. Close to Camden Town and Hampstead and not far from the West End. Plenty of eateries and pubs on Haverstock Hill, usual Premier Inn, clean and comfy. Parking not outrageous either for London, £16 for 24 hours I think? Prem Inns usually have family rooms with a double and single.
