I can see a formation been saying it all season 4-5-1 LCY and Petrov on the wings Spearing, Mavies, Andrews as a central 3 with Ngog up top, tough on Eagles but the other 2 are better players.

Megson played 4-5-1 with 5 immobile plantpots lined up in unison, that yesterday was no way a 4-5-1, a lot ore fluidity to it, 2 holders and let the front 4 play

Good old Geoff. On first name terms after that away match.

from a Cardiff board...

Apparently the Bolton stewards continually picked on Cardiff fans and were throwing them out of the ground non stop and aggressively for the slightest thing, like accidentally walking in with a drink in your hand, they continued through out the game and up to 20 Cardiff fans were ejected, but forcibly and with aggression.

Eventually if you keep on, human beings which Cardiff fans are will stand up for themselves and fight back. The Bolton stewards apparently then ran behind the Greater Manchester Police and tried to grab Cardiff fans, truncheons were pulled out, with Cardiff fans being wacked, who were totally innocent, the end result was that Cardiff ran the police out of the section and fighting took place so I am told. 40 odd police were brought in.

I have just spoken to a Bolton friend who tells me, Bolton stewards are renowned for being bullies and are known for heavy handed tactics.

100% I am told Cardiff fans were the ones who being picked on and in the end enough was enough.

"accidentally walking in with a drink in your hand"

Errm ok

It's a shame none of the Welsh were more seriously injured. Tossers.

are we the only ground that don't allow this? Bristol fans somehow made the same mistake as well...

what do they expect to be at the top of the stairs when they wander up drink in hand?

First half was a shocker. No-one seemed to know what their jobs were.

Second half much, much better.

What was most pleasing was that we managed not to concede despite them throwing the kitchen sink at us towards the end. Knight was immense. Hopefully Bogdan will take some confidence from that late save with his mush to ensure we got the three points.

I was very surprised that Spearing got the chop, but as long as we keep winning, Dougie can pick whoever he wants. FWIW I thought Andrews did alright. Pratley was shite again though. I'd drop him for Leicester, move Mark Davies forward and bring Spearing back in.

a lot of folk are commenting on the 1st half.

i thought we kept the ball pretty well for large sections, albeit with no cutting edge. but players looked hungry for the ball.

it was certainly something to build on, and we aint gonna improve overnight.

i dont recall cardiff threatening apart from the goal, which pretty much came from nothing.

our stewards do seem to be cunts, but who gives a fuck, taffy cunts

They didn't really have much of a sniff but we didn't keep the ball well - hence 47% possession

The passing was terrible 1st half

Passing wasn't terrible. We kept the ball reasonably well at the back.

The positioning and movement was the major problem. Lee and eagles far too inside and attacks breaking down when using Davies.

What was the possession figure for the second half? I dare say it was worse than the first. Except we where more fluid and creating opportunities quicker in the second.

dunno about the possession part but we were certainly more direct in the 2nd half.

1st half we seen content to try and keep the ball, but created fuck all

Direct as in Ngog was holding the ball up or laying off to others.

One difference was the throw ins.

First half, must of been about 10 times down the line for Davies to flick on to no one.

Second half, no messing, either quick backwards, or inside to someone available

Bogdan was cack on that series of corners they had. That was a worry

Agree completely regarding movement, and Lee and Eagles drifting into the middle 3rd of the pitch, but the passing was still shit - we passed into touch on at least 3 occasions!

Was the kicking into touch due to bad passing or lack of understanding as a consequence of having a couple of years of being good at Table tennis.

The first half was shocking, no shots, Pratley running the ball/putting the ball out when under little pressure.

Lee Warnock and especially Ricketts doing crap crosses.

The only good bit was when Eagles got a bit of space near left central, fed Lee on the right of the box after Pratley had got out of way, but Lee's ball was wasteful.

Cardiff did nothing either, just a peeroller goal, that should never have been allowed to have gone in.

The 2nd half was completely different, first few minutes Andrews went a few yards wide from distance, Eagles had a long ranger saved for a corner, then Cardiff had about 5-10 mins of throw-in's and corners, then the subs came on and we destroyed them, but then they started threatening again late on with noone on the right.

Lee, M.Davies and N'Gog really turned it on.

Does this mean you're going to start going to the game again, Dids?

nope.

when do you stop being classed as a fan?

i hate the likes of you

physically able yet not going

i know people who would love to go, but just aren't in a position to do so, due to ill health

which, in itself would'nt be a problem, but we've been here before when about 5 thousand of us kept the club going
