Traf Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 How many of the four will get re-injured tonight? I'm going for two to "suffer complications." Quote

DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 On a heavy, rain-sodden pitch against the back up players of a lower league side? What could possibly go wrong? Are the back-up players of a lower league side dirtier than those of a Premier League side? Quote
WhitePrice Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Are the back-up players of a lower league side dirtier than those of a Premier League side? I would say yes.Trying to prove themselves against some of the bigger names in the divisions. Not dirtier but trying a bit harder than normal. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Are the back-up players of a lower league side dirtier than those of a Premier League side? I suspect they can't time a tackle as well and have a point to prove, as said above. The 'Chungy at Newport' syndrome. Quote
DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I would say yes.Trying to prove themselves against some of the bigger names in the divisions. Not dirtier but trying a bit harder than normal. I disagree. I'd say if an injury is going to happen then it's going to happen. If they are ready to start playing then they're ready to start playing. You can't start picking and choosing which teams to pit them against. Maybe Oldham's reserve central midfielders are a couple of Chris Eagles whilst, say, Man Utd's are a couple of budding Paul Scholes. I think I know which would be most likely to inflict injury.. If they're not fully healed then they shouldn't be playing anyway. Playing matches should be about regaining match fitness, not about rehabilitation. Quote
DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I suspect they can't time a tackle as well and have a point to prove, as said above. The 'Chungy at Newport' syndrome. Like 'Jonny Evans at Old Trafford' too? Shit happens. Quote

DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Why does the "need to impress" seem to have to go hand-in-hand with "more likely to injure someone else" ? Is that what impresses managers? Lunging dangerously into tackles? Quote

Zico Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Kieron Dyer has left QPR 4 starts and 4 subs in 18 months worth a punt? surely this year could be his year Quote
DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Kieron Dyer has left QPR 4 starts and 4 subs in 18 months worth a punt? surely this year could be his year ... just after he'd completed 90 minutes and scored a goal for them too Quote

Lunging dangerously into tackles? It doesn't.But being less talented and not being able to time a tackle properly makes it more likely that injury will occur Quote
DazBob Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Cuntstick that Evans. No quarrel from me on this. Quote
