I would have thought the £3M pay off was for complete cancellation of the contract, meaning that Liverpool could wash their hands of him altogether........but I really do hope that they do in fact have to keep paying for him for the next 18 months

That might end up being small money compared to what Carroll is going to end up costing them?.....there is no way they're getting more than £15M for him if/when they decide to cut their losses, and I presume they'r ehaving to subsidise his West Ham wage as well at present

I think that's it, the money they generate "off shore" probably far outweighs anything they generate domestically. Even though they've not been a massive success of late, they're still massive around the globe. The cunts.

Looking at the Barnsley forum, it's a bit worrying that they don't seem very bothered about Davies leaving them....quite similar to the Watford fans' attitude to losing Sordell.

 

Dougie did pick up that Murray to Palace from Brighton though, and he wasn't highly rated but has done well. I think it took a while before Murray got going at Palace so we may have to be patient with Davies if he comes.
