we have the toxic mix of younger shrinking violets like bogdan eagles ngog mavies chungy ream sordell and senior pros riddled with apathy, a total lack of abiltiy to demand performances from the younger lads and instill a winning menatlity and a fuck you mentality towards the support knight mears andrews pratley petrov it's just a receipe that is getting us deeper and deeper in the shit we've no players barring SKD with any real affinity with the club or it's supporters no one the supporters really "love" we've just zero character and spirit in the side we need to get rid of as many as we can and start again if that means signing Sean Derry and Dean Whitehead then so be - it's not even a case of saying we need a team of players we can believe in we need 2 or 3 for a start - I know Dougie doesnt believe in throwing a few tea cups but by fucks they look like they need it some of em if he wont do it then I'd like to see the skipper or other senior lads pin a few up against the wall wobetide Douglas if he trys another siege mentality alla megson because that will end in tears - there is fuck all wrong with 99% of our support its been terrific seeing as we went down and have been shit for nigh on 2 years we just need a few players to believe in again

 

I've watched wandereres for 25 years plus and we've seen some shit yes but i'm not sure i've seen quite such a gutless collective as this lot

and st for 21 years missing 1 home league in that time. Lucky to see more good games than bad. Sad to hear the booing at ht. I turn up for home games in more hope than expectation. Used to be one of the highlights of my week after working hard all week but don't have the same buzz anymore. Crowds are down and atmosphere is as bad as ever.

My last 3 games have been 5-0 at Wembley vs. Stoke, 3-0 a home vs. Fulham and now 1-0 at home vs. Sheffield Wednesday... All losses. I'm going to the Birmingham game tomorrow before I fly back to the US. We'll win 1-0, mark my words.

 

On Wednesday's game... Eagles had a shocker, Petrov was his usual self (but this was highlighted more as everyone was being just as much of a tart), Ricketts was terrible... In fact, it's easier to list the players that had a reasonable game - Spearing, Afobe and (in some ways) Ngog.

 

I think the problem we have is that we rely of out scoring the opponents to win, as we can't defend. When we come across a team that can defend, as Wednesday could, we'll lose every time. A lot of our good attacking play has come from defensive frailties of the "weaker" teams in this division compared to the Premier League. Either way you look at it, it's not a nice picture. We need a couple of new defenders, namely a centre back and a left back, and a new attacking central midfielder. Hopefully Holden and Wheater will come back as close to their previous selves as possible and we'll stand a chance - we're not totally out of this yet.
