January 30, 201313 yr Had his true motives for coming here, other than a bigger wage. Fair to say he has tinkered with OC squad until now. He seems committed to building with younger players to apply his own style? He comes across as straight talking in interviews. Has nurtured the green shoots of optimism within some. Here's hoping for a strong 2nd half to the season with a view to Dougies team pushing on next ?
January 30, 201313 yr I'm more than happy so far. Doesn't seem to love the sound of his own voice, has a progressive approach, sticks to his guns. He'll do for me!
January 30, 201313 yr I'v not sen anything yet to convince me of any improvement ...... I will continue to support the team
January 30, 201313 yr He's got a long way to go but I'm sure he will get there. Whether or not the fans will have the patience is another thing. Edited January 30, 201313 yr by freds dad
January 30, 201313 yr Mixed review so far O early tinkering for overly long for me, but let's see how the rest of the season goes
January 30, 201313 yr Personally, I think he's absolutley brilliant Plus he won me 400 quid when we appointed him
January 30, 201313 yr Agreed.Think Lennie Lawrence is a major factor too. I have to agree with this,I dont think Dougie is arrogant enough to think he knows it all and uses Lennie's experience to good effect.I also believe that was the downfall of Coyle,by not getting someone to say "Fuck off Owen you're talking shite" instead he surrounded himself with a bunch of sycophants. ;

January 30, 201313 yr done nowt yet to suggest he is the man, will wait and see what transpires in the rest of this season.
January 30, 201313 yr No different to coyle, doesn't know best 11, sticks with mears and knight and donkey davies up front. Just another young unproven jock manager
January 30, 201313 yr do we want to go up ?? Get hammered week in week out ? or stay down for another season with a massive rebuild...
January 30, 201313 yr I'll judge next Christmas. Some of his choices do puzzle me, the continued selection of K.Davies for example, but let's at least give him a couple of transfer windows so that the squad is 'his'.
January 30, 201313 yr MM is the polar opposite of DF. And I know which pole I'd rather be on. The one with penguins and Dougie!
January 30, 201313 yr MM is the polar opposite of DF. And I know which pole I'd rather be on. The one with penguins and Dougie! I’m in the optimistic camp, when he came in we where only going one way, and that was not up. He’s steadied the ship how we have to see after this transfer widow and the next if he can push on from here, only time will tell.
January 30, 201313 yr Not good enough, big mick would of got them lazy cunts in the play offs by now Really? Why are Ipswich still below us then, if he's so great? As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out on Freedman, but McCarthy wouldn't be doing any better.
January 30, 201313 yr As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out on Freedman, but McCarthy wouldn't be doing any better. I have to agree with this vulgar little ginger man.
