Sat in the Kippax that night with a very angry bloke sat behind me - was hard work not erupting when Scotty beamed us up

barnstoneworth and i were discussing this over a pleasnt refreshement in the bar at picc on the way home couple of weeks back

'life long' city fan didn't remember this game

so we had to remind him

he still didn't remember

it was necessary to give him 'the look' and stagger homewards

I was also in the Kippax. Plenty venom from them fookin plebs after.

Too young to go at the time, but I remember listening to the game on GMR then being allowed to stay up and watch Granada Soccernight, which only ever seemed to be shown when a team was going for promotion. Amazed that there isn't any footage of the game on YouTube, was a bit of an epic with City going in front, SJM going off injured etc. Hell of a goal from Sellars as well.

Was a bit lively in the supporters club afterwards - they werent best pleased at us celebrating

I was 18

Grew up around Citeh and DMB's so it was soooooo sweet for me

I had a long chat about it with Scott Sellars years later about him leaving Kit Symons on his arse as he jinked in and out and he absolutely loved it

Great night that, taunting the Kippax with "Stand up, for the champions". Mixu got the other I think but Sellars goal erupted our end :)

I was 13 and went in the JD sports family stand behind the goal with my dad and his pal.

We drove to Maine road the weekend before to try and get tickets and bumped into a few whites trying the same thing...to no avail

Ended up getting some off a season ticket holder my brother knew in Chorley.

Turned out that end was too welcoming as we were pretty much Sussed straight away, copper came and moved us for "our own safety" and we were plonked in main stand in the disabled section. (cue smart arse comment! :-) )

Remember seeing bottles and glasses being thrown down from the private boxes in the kippax..

Was a great sight at the end looking down the main stand to see thousands of other whites celebrating like fuck.

I spent the whole game starring at the away in a jealous rage, getting even more pissed off with my dad for not sorting the tickets! It looked bouncing in there and didn't shut up for the full 90 mins.

Amazing night,amazing season.

I was 18

Ah that's right

I was mixing him up with druggie thugs

This is about the only big domestic game I missed... Was in a snooker club in Dumfries and got a bollocking for disturbing the place when we scored ....

Corporately entertained in a box.

Most pleasant evening.

Got a programme somewhere

Was in their main stand that night then in to their so call players lounge afterwards. No that was a shit ole. I do remember some of their fans staying back after the match and clapping the team on their lap of honour.

remember having to buy a ticket for City's next home match as well ....daft scheme to stop Bolton fans buying home end tickets which failed miserably...hundreds of whites everywhere...

also remember a match at maine road in 90's...loads of bolton singing underneath the stands in their end.behind goal...great day out....

a bit tasty after the match....remember struggling to get into a few pubs around Piccadilly as they were already full of bouncing Boltonians, also "we won the league in Manchester" echoing around the station......great neet out !!
