He let all the boxing on the inside go in Calzaghe v Hopkins. Not saying Ricky would have won if Touché Turtle had let him go inside but would have gone to points, then who knows.

Only on round 5. He's like a football ref who wants to be center of attention all of the time

Cortez was the Elleray of boxing - always favouring the big boys.

Im convinced the Nevada State Commission ordered him to make sure Calzaghe won against Hopkins to keep the brits going to Vegas.

35,000 of us over there roughly for Hatton/Mayweather. MGM was mayhem from Thursday to Sunday inclusive. The other hotels immediately surrounding similar.

Best week of my life despite missing Red Star Belgrade to go over there. Memories which will stay with me a lifetime

Sounds like some experience!

Hadn't watched it since the first time when i was wankered. From round 7 he was letting everything go he wasn't initially. Shite

Great knockout though

Aye, Ricky got very frustrated and let his game plan go. Such a shame as that fight finished Ricky.

If that fight was at 140, I’m convinced Ricky wins. He was the best JWW at the time (Cotto would have been a war though).

If that Ricky fights Manny at 140 or 147, Ricky wins. He knew he would never be known as the best in the world though after that fight, it finished him.

I used to know Ricky on a personal level back then, it hit him very hard. Don’t see anything of him now. He used to sup with us fans after his fights in Vegas. Usually a crew of about 40 or so. Him and his family all lovely.

Following his boy now. Doesn’t look anything special yet but only 4 fights in

Just seen that our Amir's cousin, our Abdul, has won his first pro fight.

Whatever happened to our Haroon?

Haroon won his first seven fights and then just disappeared.

AJ changed trainer to Eddy Reynoso, Canelo Alvarez’s trainer

Is it completely fucked or something he can get over?

I'd have asked if he was finished, but would've been told he's only 28.

Yes he’s finished, it’s been fucked for years.

Whyte fight off

Feel for Whyte. He’s destined never to get a shot

Whyte still gets the shot even if he doesn’t fight Wallin

This makes me think it’s a tactical “injury” to bypass Wallin and go straight to Fury

Whyte Fury would be blockbuster

Probably, and if so - another mockery of the Sport.

Aye. Pisses me off. It’s what made me take an interest in UFC even that has had signs of it lately though

Early UFC tonight, some of the worst refereeing you could ever see in one of the early fights.

Fun fact that ref is Mike Riley’s brother in law

How does one referee two repressed pufters rolling around on the floor trying to alternately touch widgies and gouge eyes out?

It's good when they have a 'ladders and chairs' match though, really slapstick them.

It's Lucky Pierre writ large on PPV.

It's grounds for divorce, that Pay Event appearing on the credit card bill...

What’s up Cas, you’re very grumpy lately, want a hug from Rudy?

What's 'proper shit', my opinion or UFC?

On this occasion, UFC

UFC is excellent. It’s mixed martial arts so it’s not all going to be stand up trading blows, there will be some grappling. For every Khabib there’s a Toby Ferguson who blocks punches with his face
