gonzo Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 I watched with a few beers last night and watched it again just now. It was a draw all day long for me. And that's taking nothing away from Usyk as I love the bloke. Just wasn't a clear win like the cards say for me. Quote

I think Usyk just edged it but it was very close. But would I want to see them do it again? Not really. Quote
Rizlar Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Draw for me also no clear winner can see a rematch or Fury vs AJ . Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Maybe I’m the outlier then. I thought it was a pretty comfortable Usyk win. Plenty of powerful body shots, a few clear punches to the head. Fury didn’t land as many and not convincing enough for me. Looked tired the last 4 or 5 rounds and started holding on too much. Quote

Completely agree. Usyk simply landed a lot more punches. It was close, but Usyk a deserving winner. The guy is incredible. Really shouldn't be able to compete at heavyweight given his size, but he just doesn't appear to ever get tired and is too agile for the big oafs like Fury to grab hold.of and lean on. Quote

royal white Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Usyk by a round for me. I Don’t understand TF putting all that weight on and not using it to his advantage. Still pissed off with the Dave Allen result, shocking decision but fair play to Paddy Power who are paying out anyone who backed him. Quote
Underpants Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Apart from Fury's camp, Warren and some moonmen folk are saying Usyk won. But most do agree the cards didn't sum up the fight. It doesn't matter how much Fury and Co bleat. When you fight any champion you have to create clear daylight with your performance. Fury didn't even get close. Quote

deeane Koontz Posted January 13 Posted January 13 He did this last time they were negotiating with Joshua before he ended up fighting Chisora. Also before the first Usyk fight, he tried his best to bitch out of that one. There's a recurring theme here. Quote

No way will he turn down the purse he eventually gets offered, this is just one of his usual overly transparent negotiation tactics. Give it a week or two, and he'll be back on TikTok saying that he'll fight, but he wants $100M and/or it has to be at Wembley and free for fans to attend, or some other such nonsense Edited January 13 by Sweep Quote
