May 5, 201313 yr It seems to be in vogue to slag him off these days, but I'm rather enjoying his show on 4 at the moment Maybe I'm just easily amused

May 5, 201313 yr I've laughed once so far. And I'm the sort of person who laughs at Christmas cracker jokes.
May 5, 201313 yr He is as funny as most of the other lot out there, he has done well out if his upside in his career and fair fucks to him for doing so.
May 5, 201313 yr Never seen this show before. Seen all the jokes before though... Still laughed my cock off.
May 5, 201313 yr Don't think it's in vogue to slag him off just that I've tired of his repetitive gags. He used to be funny now he isn't. And it's got nothing to do with him being from Bolton, he could be from Birmingham or Bournemouth for all I care
May 5, 201313 yr I thought the two other blokes who wrote phoenix nights with him don't bother with him anymore
May 5, 201313 yr Garlic bread. Garlic? Bread? Cheesecake. Cheese? Cake? Fucksponge. Fuck? Sponge? Aye, he's piss funny. No wonder non-Boltonians take the piss out of us yonners.
May 5, 201313 yr Didn't see the show on tv but if you ever have the chance to chat to him you will see he's a naturally funny guy. He finished writing his new show for the BBC last week so hopefully it will be on tv soon
May 6, 201313 yr I thought the two other blokes who wrote phoenix nights with him don't bother with him anymore I heard that he claimed all credit for Phoenix Nights, and that Dave Spikey and Neil Fitzmaurice were not too amused. They weren't involved with Max and Paddy.
May 6, 201313 yr I heard that he claimed all credit for Phoenix Nights, and that Dave Spikey and Neil Fitzmaurice were not too amused. They weren't involved with Max and Paddy. You could tell too. It was shit.
May 6, 201313 yr He owes the people of Bolton royalties as half of it is just sayings or jokes that he's picked up on the way, not written himself.
May 6, 201313 yr He owes the people of Bolton royalties as half of it is just sayings or jokes that he's picked up on the way, not written himself. But that's the essence of all good comedy, isn't it? He's a very keen observer and he picks up on a community that is brimming with quality humour (you only have to follow this site to appreciate that!) and turns it into comedy routines. He's done very well for himself out of it - and good luck to him. I live away from Bolton now and Peter Kay's phenomenal success has only been positive as far as I'm concerned. He has enhanced Bolton's image and that of its inhabitants in my opinion.
May 6, 201313 yr No idea, most of it isn't observational, it's just reminding you of stuff. Like that unfunny twatspatula Michael McIntyre.
May 6, 201313 yr No idea, most of it isn't observational, it's just reminding you of stuff. You don't quite get the concept of 'observational' do you? :-) However I do agree that Michael McIntyre is a cunt. Edited May 6, 201313 yr by Zulu

May 6, 201313 yr No idea, most of it isn't observational, it's just reminding you of stuff. Like that unfunny twatspatula Michael McIntyre. A bit like Mr Kay McIntyre's 1st stand up DVD was fucking hilarious now he's churning out the same gags
It seems to be in vogue to slag him off these days, but I'm rather enjoying his show on 4 at the moment
Maybe I'm just easily amused
