December 25, 201411 yr Had a glass of bombero after dinner, at 15% it's stronger than Aldi Baileys. Don't think I could have the full bottle tonight. Now opened a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape at a weak as piss 14% Festive!
December 25, 201411 yr Just decanted a lovely bottle of port, it's about 20 years old and tastes fantastic. I'm hogging it to myself at present though, it's far too nice for my guests
December 25, 201411 yr I'm saving the port for another evening as we've only just got back from my parents and I've got a big day tomorrow. Tonight I've opened a bottle of Haymans sloe gin but will only be having a small one. I really need to get my own made next year.

December 26, 201411 yr End of November, Tesco had some first cape limited edition Merlot 13.5% (2013) and 14-14.5% (2014) on offer, half price at 4.99 a bottle. A really nice drop. They then introduced their buy 4 or more get 25% off, bringing it down to £3.75 a bottle.I managed to snaffle around 20 bottles over a couple of raids - it's bloody lovely.

December 29, 201411 yr Can't remember if I've already mentioned this, but Yellow Tail do a couple of new reds, one of which is simply called Big Bold Red Don't let the name and rather plain labelling fool you though, it's a fucking belter. About £8 in Tesco but I've settled on it as my Go To wine. Covers all the bases - good with pretty much any food, on its own or being poured into your nostril through a funnel. I doffs my cap sir Had the Yellow Tail before but not the new ones Just opened the jammy red roo Wow. Might not be everyones taste But its like liquid raspberry alcholic madness/goodness
December 29, 201411 yr 1991 Vintage? the bottle could be circa 1972 tbh. It's certainly not something which has suffered too many rebrands.
