Nicholas Sebastian Anelka

A few months and without a trace. Thus concludes the experience of Nicolas Anelka with Juventus. The French footballer arrived in Turin in January during the repair market already has your bags ready. For he promises a return to England and in particular to Bolton; for the French it would be a return because he has already played with the club that plays in the Championship (our series B) from 2006 to 2008 over 50 appearances and scored 23 goals. Was not a particularly successful adventure to Anelka to Juventus. The bianconeri have wanted to get their hands on his Chelsea teammates Didier Drogba but the high cost of hiring has slowed down any ambitions. The choice of black leadership is so gone on 34 French striker who would have the task of reinforcing numerically the Department (after injury to Bendtner) and maybe to bring international experience especially in key Champions. But with Antonio Conte the relationship never blossomed. for him to just two appearances and no goals (although it might take the field in the last championship of the bianconeri 's). Now for the French return to open the doors of England where he had his best seasons but especially has managed to evolve as a player.

Nixon says no

But what does Maxicrap say?

he will be a bolton player by august.

front three of anelka, hooper and beckford.

Nixon says no

I'll bet he does. Might as well ask him if Pele is still coming as manager.

He's past it

He's past it

We will see

I know he wasn't very good in China, and clearly wasn't much good for Juventus either as I don't think he played more than a handful of times. I'm sure he will still be commanding a big wage as well, probably more than we cold realistically offer at the moment.

For what it's worth, I'm not convinced he will do much next season

Still quick, skillful and know's where the net is. If he starts 25 next season at WBA he will bag at least 10 I reckon. They are a good attacking team and will lay chances on to him.

I loved Anelka when he played for us

Best striker I've seen in a white shirt by a considerable distance

Brilliant

In the same transfer window we shelled out £5m for Cahill £3.5m Steinsson and 4m on Matt Taylor - i reckon mostly it went there.

And Eddie got his £7m outlay returned to him with interest IIRC.

Boooooooo to facts

Boooooooo to facts

Yes, I apologise for the introduction of a fact.

Boooooooooooooooooooo to me.

I still remember that goal Nickolas scored against Arsenal at the Reebok in 2006, bloody superb.

The 2nd was as impressive in its own way. Campo threads the perfect throughball and Anelka finished like no other striker I've seen in a Bolton shirt.

It was the kind of goal you saw Thierry Henry score time and time again on motd

That was the better goal that game IMO.

We were quality.

Agreed, reminded me of Campo's goal at West Ham. A beautiful ball through from Okocha which cut open the Hammers defence, cool as you like finish from Campo!

Those were the days!

We were well and truly spoiled for a whole weren't we!

They really were the days. I used to go to my seat in the first half and everything.

I have vague recollections of Nico scoring the winner at home vrs DMB but I was on Jager at ten AM in spoons and woke up in a pool of my own sick at Manchester Airport at 1 in the morning so I may be wrong.

Found the Campo goal against West Ham. Superb.
