I remember someone saying it in full seriousness on here the same game that Zico and I had remarked on him chasing an opposition player from their box to ours and covering for one of our wide midfielders!

 

It'll not happen I'm sure but if we signed him that would be one serious statement of intent! Him and N'Gog could be ridiculously good together as a pairing in this league.....in fact in the Premiership

That was the first thing that struck us, his work rate was incredible. We all knew about his scoring record but the work he did off the ball was first class. Model pro for us & even though he won't be the same player now it would be fantastic of this happens...... Can't see it though.

And yes Anelka worked hard but there was only so many times he created goals out of no where like the 35 yarder against arsenal. In our current team we don't need someone who works hard. we need someone who can either go get the ball and take 2 players on and bang it in or we need someone in midfield to put on a plate for sordell or other striker. We didnt miss out on playoffs because we was creating loads of chances but our strikers were missing them.

Disagree that Sordell would get as many goals as Anelka; I just don't rate him at all.
