Where were you when you were shiite

I don't understand the issue with washing your feet if that is part of your religious beliefs. As long as it's done in a discreet way then so be it. I bet there are plenty on here that don't wash their hands after going to the toilet in the pub which is far more disgusting in my view

in a toilet used by others I would have an issue and an really surprised people don't. I don't care if it is part of a religion.

Maybe religious people could be tolerant of those who don't have one.

Humour me please NB, because I'm one of those who doesn't get it.

Do you think it's digusting for hygiene reasons?

My whole problem is like Enzo says, they didn't need to do it.

So why do it??

You're telling me that every single one of that group were so in need to pray that they had to do and do it there and then no matter where they were?

Bullshit.

The feet in the sink thing might be odd but hygienically it's not particularly disgusting or unclean. We've got a special little trough thing at ground level here for them, leaving the sinks free for us to squeeze spots into, groz into, wash our hands in after we've picked dangleberries out of our anus hair etc. Nothing you can do in a sink with your feet is any more disgusting than what an infidel does in there with his hands.

Prayer times in the UK differ slightly from day to day. Sunday, when this game was, there was a 4.06pm prayer and a 5.56pm. Appn it was one of those.

Would the locals be likely to:-

1) Politely ignore and just leave them to it.

2) Encircle them and chant 'Irans, Irans, Irans'

3) Behave like rabid dogs and tear them to pieces.

It's such an obvious point to make that I almost can't be arsed but the day we take guidance on things like this from Iran is the day to pack up.

whether they prayed at half time, full time or any time what does it matter? They are doing no harm to anyone, they're not forcing others to join in so I really don't understand the issue unless some on here are really so intolerant of anything remotely religious that they'll find any excuse to argue against it

heres the problem for me

I hate religion, that doesn't really matter though

they can believe in what they want and when they want

they can't do it wherever they want though in my opinion

(i believe the knuckle draggers who filmed it and shouted shit were pricks)

and it doesn't bother me in the slightest that they do it out of the way in the corner

the problem is, as I posted on the first page 'this is only the beginning'

before we know it, police will be having us all keeping quiet at half time whilst they pray

then there will be no beer allowed because its against their beliefs

just fuck off and do it in your home/mosque/whever the fuck that isn't at the football

and its the same for those bible bashing catholic/christian cunts that hand leaflets out outside the reebok

Humour me please NB, because I'm one of those who doesn't get it.

I definitely do

no one washes their feet in a sink, they have showers and baths for that. So the person hoiks their foot up and shoves it into the side of the sink and then gives it a wash. Do they use their own towel or paper ones and do they then give the sink a good full clean down as well as the floor round it? I am again probably being cynical but I am doubting very much.

Sinks are at that level so you can wash your hands in it and not your feet.

So yes, I take issue with the hygiene issues and lack of consideration for others (well if I was a bloke I would as I hope they don't do this in kitchen sinks)

What's your problem Gonzo?? Whether they prayed at that time or not why is this so repulsive to you? Do you just hate all religious practices per se?

Most blokes have pissed in a sink

JSL

I definitely do

before I get called a hypocrite

pissing in the sink at half time when the queues are huge is perfectly fine

Hands are more unhygienic than feet.  Especially in a washroom.  Factamundo.

Oh, and Garrp, I hear what you're saying.  If this is 'only the beginning' as you suggest then this country really has gone to the dogs.  I suppose I'm just hoping we can all be tolerant of one another, but that's probably just wishful thinking.... and that really is a shame.

Simple question to those who have made numreous references to being tolerant, why have we had issues about air stewardesses wearing crosses, christmas trees and decorations not being put up etc. etc. or does tolerance only work one way?

Did I say that was ok?

As I say, a sink is at that level for a reason

We really are fucked if that now makes me intolerant and a bigot

 Probably not I'd imagine.

After you've had a dump or put a jamrag in, do you disinfect the tap that you turned on with your unwashed hand?

I hear you and I certainly don't agree with the banning of Christian symbols.  It pisses me off no end. But 9 times out of 10 isn't it the white PC brigade who insist on this as they're scared of offending ... yet we hear time and time again that the 'offended' aren't actually offended at all?

Do I balls hate all religious practices.

As I've said before I'm probably the most liberal lefty you will ever meet.

I have reiterate I have no issue with any religion, creed or colour.

I just don't think a football match in England is the time or place for worshiping your god.

I think the situation could have been completely avoided, but they chose not to and instead cause all this fuss which could be seen coming a mile off.

If gang of Morris dancers had found a corner to do a little dance if be saying exactly the same thing...it's fuck all to do with religion.

The washing of the feet thing ill say again isnt religious requirement...it's an extended way they prove their faith....again there's a time and place for washing your feet.

A public toilet in England isn't one of them.

If you think what they did at the football is right, then like I said to Daz crack on mate...

If you think what they did at the football is right, then like I said to Daz crack on mate...

I never it said was right, but I would also not say it's wrong.  I just said it's their choice to do so and who are 'we' to say it's not their right?

If I'd seen it in the Reebok I'd have thought it odd (as I've never seen it in a football ground before) but I'd certainly not have been offended nor brought an unwarranted attention to it.

If you think what they did at the football is right, then like I said to Daz crack on mate...

I've had little to say on this, but my take is that what they did was neither right not wrong.

I'm indifferent to them praying in the ground and about the foot washing.

They wanted to pray (rightly or wrongly), so they found what they thought would be the quietest spot: fair enough.

They'd be better suited with a designated prayer room, but most people would kick off at them getting one.

They (rightly or wrongly) want to wash their feet, they have nowhere else other than the sink to do it, unless other facilities are provided.

Plenty would moan about that provision too.

I don't know what the solution is, but then again I don't see a problem needing to be solved.

As you were, ladies and gentlemen.

PS +1 to Carlos' pic.

How come they got free tickets anyway?

ha ha ha who said it did :D

I thought the JSL bit confirmed it was just a comment

You wouldn't understand though you bloody fascist!

Fair play to those who wash their feet in the sink

I couldn't reach with my feet if I spent all day trying!

No, I turn if off with the hand I just washed with.

As I said, contrary

Aye, alreet.

As I've said, hands in a washroom are more unhygienic than feet. I've also got no issue with folk praying to whoever they pray.  Those, my dear, are stone cold facts.  If that makes me contrary because you refuse to accept them then so be it.

I know he's a cunt, but that's harsh.
