jules_darby Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 That's why the club need to be careful. 15,000 yesterday isn't a bad gate considering our league position but if things continue to drift, many of those that have taken a break won't come back.Looked more like 12-13k to me to be honest Quote
mannyroad58 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 It's shit but the old school have been through a lot lot worse than this, i as well as a few others will never give it up it's what we do born a wanderer and always a wanderer, it's not only about the football, it's about the social side as we all know if we didn't meet up with our mates on a saturday we would all slowly drift apart, even after yesterdays embarrassing performance, we're still organising Boro away They're shit but they're our shit Quote

Big E Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 True supporters will stick with it. Glory hunters will leave. I wasn't born in Bolton, I don't live in Bolton, but I'll always be there. BTID. So to be a true supporter you have to go every week? Not born in Bolton either and have been going since I was 3. Only missed 5 games in 7 years at one point. So I do love the club. Life changes and people change priorities. I have lived abroad for 2 years n spent my time watching Bolton on tv for most of that time (although I kept my season ticket when in holland). I am used to not being at the ground these days and am finding it harder n harder to be bothered to drive up on my own and not be able to have a beer. I able prefer to spend my days with friends. This hasn't changed my love though Quote
Biggish Dave Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Didn't enjoy yesterday at all, no atmosphere in the ground, sterile football and I can't see it getting better anytime soon. Never mind, almost time to go to Bournemouth then another chance to win at home against Millwall. Been there against loads of clubs no longer in the football league on level footing so not going to give up now - or ever. The good times will happen again at some stage Quote
oggybwfc Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Me and my mate had a similar conversation yesterday,we ended up laughing, and agreed that Fuck All beats Saturday football watching the whites. even when we are shit. Quote
Darwen Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Not been for 2 years now, i'd rather sit at home watching the scores come in. Quote

Fuck the ones who have taken a break already. If that's what type of folk they are. I can understand anyone not going through cash problems, family commitments, or work, but jibbing it because we're having a rough ride. We don't need that type thanks Quote

Ratwhite Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 We're "in a position" where we need passionate folk to get behind the team, not fuck off to asda because it's raining and the teams playing crap! Anyway just nipping to Asda Quote
no balls Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Very gay that gonzo. two words: French toast Quote
birch-chorley Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) I will hold my hands up and admit that I have all but stopped going on. Only been to 3 games all season The thing for me is since I started going on less I have been to San Fran, cancun, Vegas, New York, south of France & Ibiza. it costs a fortune going all over with Wanderers especially when a match day involves 20 pints. To be honest aside from the lads and day out I haven't missed the 90 minutes one bit. Last match I did was Yoevil and it put me off. I'm renovating a house with the misses at the moment and weekends involve lots of decorating as I'm away in the week. But to be honest watching the paint dry is more appealing at present. I'm sure I will get the buzz back but at the moment I'm enjoying doing other stuff. Sorry guys #selloutcunt Edited October 27, 2013 by birch-chorley Quote
tomski Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Sad to hear that birch. I hope it comes back for you mate. Sounds like you have been filling your time up well. Its so easy to get out of the habit, specially as we get older. Quote
bwfc2003 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Bollocks. Some of those who pick and choose these days were going week in week out back when the club almost disappeared for good. If it weren't for those 'glory hunters', there might not be a BWFC now. Wonder how many of the bolton fans in the crowd yesterday have only started going since our affair with the premier league started in 1995? - and so have only known relative success??? Quote
stevieb Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 The amount of fuckin about you said you had to do to get to the match gonzo I'm not sure if I would still be arsed. It's relatively easy for me but it's time away from the little man that's my issue. To be honest the match day experience for me is so far removed from that of 5 years ago it's unreal. Used to be at least 6 of us in spoons for brekkie at 10,rinse til I run out of money after the game and train home. Now it's hardly anyone out, 4 pints max and back home for X-Factor! This isn't all down to the football as people just grow older and get more responsibilities. Quote
Big E Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 We need to set aside a few dates for proper sessions to keep the love going Quote
