Reading is a shit away trip.

Miles from the train station.

Lack of atmosphere, their fans are scarfers and there's nothing near the ground.

OUT.

Decent boozer next to the station.  Two 'spoons' within 200 yards of the station. Special buses from the town to Mad Stad or about £6 cab.

My birthday and I live in Reading.  Happy days!

whats the situation getting cabs away post match?

on my one visit, i think we found some family type pub walking distance from the ground

Could take their place in playoffs by the time mid January comes round

Im booked on this one - anyone know how long the buses take to get back to the station after?

Fuck it, looks like we've blagged my mate to drive down while he 'groundhops'.

If you get out a couple of mins early, 10 mins max.  Only about 2 miles down a dual carriageway to the station.

After final whistle will be a different story.

Their main pub is just down from the station, heard some naughty boys took it a few years ago which they have never got over

Flats now.  A certain Mr Frain has now disappeared down to Devon.  Youth tried but it never took off.

Train station has totally changed since we last played there

Last time I went won can't remember score but Matt Taylor scored a pen I think

My one and only visit to Reading that, he missed the penalty.

Still won 2-1 though!

2-0 was it not? Around Taylor and Cahill's debuts too.

Could have been? I know we got 2, think Steinsson made his debut also.

Don't think about it.

Just get it booked and in two months when match tickets are available you're hooked, and it won't feel as bad forking out the money.

All about paying well in advance, gutted I didn't get my Boro train at £20 now tbf :(

Its all about Henley on Thames...

that's tempting. How close is the ground to the station? This was a driving job before I saw this.
