I was thinking about this topic and came across this article, Smiley's comment on writing book is touched upon as are other points raised by other posters - it's a quite interesting short read (if not Pulitzer Prize winning stuff)...

This question is just as challenging for multimillionaires as it is for dollar-a-day farmers. The dilemma is tantalizingly similar for both....

As an aside, does anyone have any views on not subdividing their 'estate' equally when they peg it i.e. leaving everything to a sole heir - similar to what most of the landed and loot laden have done throughout history? Ensuring at least one descendant (or other party, if without kids) has a massive advantage, rather than (discounting a situation being absolutely minted - and able to leave a decent whack for all) merely a helping hand (by the inheritance of a portion of a divided estate)?

Local Liverpool gangsters ended up threatening to kidnap his family so he moved out of his nice big house and into a caravan near Ormskirk for 6 months. Ended up paying some money to some other not rights to make it "go away"

 

You look at this fella and honestly think he would have been better off without it, all he does is smoke weed now and is a paranoid wreck.

The caravan is a recurring theme.

He (the bloke in Liverpool) should've hired Denzel Washington to look after his family and/or prevent kidnappings or rescue after kidnapping and wreak revenge on the kidnappers...

 

If Denzel was out of his budget perhaps consider a cheaper alternative - Purple Aki perhaps?

Have a TV sitcom idea in my head as well - would love time to develop it, script write something. Where the hell anybody gets time to do this in normal day-to-day life is beyond me.

I'd be off to see the World and wouldn't consider coming back until I'd seen most of it (I'd pay for family and friends to come out to see me).  I always fancied writing a book too.
