I thought Knight, Mills, Ream and Lonergan were fine

You serious?

Bob Hall was Ok. Perhaps our best player?

Freedman had already made three subs when we put knight up top. I'm also pretty sure he won the flick on when Beckford volleyed wide.

Just thought I'd point that out.

We missed our chances and they scored a thirty yard screamer. That's basically what happened.

Freedmans tactics are to stop the opposition creating clear chances . We lost to boro because of a penalty and lost today because if a thirty yard screamer. Both those games we missed chances.

These three things won't happen every game.

Wow !  I'm so relieved that was all that was wrong with us tonight. I was getting worried at full-time and fans were calling to bring Coyle back.

Well, it made me laugh.

If beckford did what he is fucking well paid to do, tonight's rants would be oh so different.

As much as I'm a believer in what Douglas is trying to do I can't help but think its a massive gamble to play that way all the time.

Freak occurrences and individual mistakes happen all the time,ie Bogdans pea roller, baptise own goal,penalties,30 yard screamers etc etc.

I don't mind playing that way,but just wish we could switch it from time to time with some kind of conviction.

Can't comment on tonight as I wasn't there.

It was the same again. He doesn't inspire.

Didn't go, but we ought to be pressing at home and creating lots of chances.

Freedman seems to be a "clean sheet first" type of bloke, which is fine but only to a point.

At home, against Uddersfield, we ought to be laying siege.

Those two Beckford misses in the second half were dreadful. Knight won the flick on for the one that put him clean through and I don't think I'm stretching the truth too far if I said Knight might have at least hit the target with the free header Beckford had.

Medo and Spearing were so ineffectual it was unreal. Hall was bright for the first half hour and then just drifted away. Forgot Danns was playing until later on.

Big changes needed for Saturday, both in attitude and formation.

Screamer of a winning goal, mind.

Huddersfield played well tonight so it's a bit unfair to just assume we're going to steamroller them.

Not sure why the change of personnel tonight, but I thought the lads who've been doing well up until Saturday should have had the chance to put it right.

Towards the end tonight it was shambolic. We had 3 forwards on plus Knight upfront (who incidently did well and set up 2 very good chances).

never fear, there will be changes

There always are with Dougie

That was poor very poor some very very poor individual performances spearing and moritz we're awful ngog was poor too I didn't think they we're anything special at all I thought there back 4 was there to be attacked particularly on the right but we were hesitant as we are so much of the time at home and dougies missing a trick thinking moritz and hall are the answer at home it's spearing and medo that are the problem they need to get forward and win the second balls we just don't build enough pressure in the oppositions half BUT roll on Saturday start with chungy for moritz get Danns behind beckford get baps back in at LB not because knight was shit but ream gets us playing a lot more from the back and baps gets forward more at LB

So the answer to all our piss poor performances is stick knight up front and cross fingers he gets a touch, and hall never got a touch which is why he got hauled off.

This bunch of players will get us nowhere if they don't at least give teams like Huddersfield a game

Huddersfield the better team, not by much but more solid and better tatically I thought especially in midfield.

As worried as I was about Knight (the player everyone loves to hate) he played alright and provided flick on for Beckford's sitter late on.

Very frustrating and amount of loose passes given away was ridiculous especially Spearing and Medo. Hall looked threatening early on. Overall to sum up it was shit.

I just can't figure out how Huddersfield with the players they have looked better organised and passed the ball so much better than us? It was pretty dire, trying to be optimistic I didn't think we did too much wrong in defence apart from Naughton having a shocker in first half (distribution wise). Beckford is always going to miss four or five chances for every one he scores, him and N'gog are frustrating to say the least and I don't ever see that changing. We were crap but still should have had a point then we wouldn't be so down. Thought Medo & Spearing were very poor tonight. Thought we'd turned the corner but not yet

Free kicks. Fucking free kicks.

Every single one a 5 yard pass square or backwards Why.? I'll tell you why, because the manager is a fecking smart arse.

He's oh so continental and doesn't want to lump it in the box, but what happens? Three passes later its at Mills's feet who has to twat it under pressure. Every fucking time.

Other teams have blips where they lose form, our blips are were we get a few results. Well ladies and gentlemen the blip is over and normal service is resumed.

That was the lowest home crowd I think I've ever seen at the reebok for a league game

It was more than the feckers deserved

that just about sums it up

i found the last 15 very sad

Was home for half 10 and didn't even leave early. Usually don't get back until 10.50ish on a night game. Never seen such a decent sized away support have so few standing up though which I thought was a bit odd.

This is the worst bolton team in 20 years

Big clearout needed

We are fucked

You serious?

Most certainly

Thought they did well against good players

The goal was down to McNaughton and then more so Medo. Who were both bobbins.

Nearly as bad as Spearing

aye, mcnaughton struggled but the defence was generally ok

ream aint a left back, mind

going forward, it didn't really work, but as smiffs pointed out, beckford missed 2 he has to score and there were one or two other good saves made

i really, really didn't like that 4 0 6 we finished with

no need

and keep moriitz for the last half houir

for now

That was the lowest home crowd I think I've ever seen at the reebok for a league game

Says 15,452 on bbc?

Dougie giving it back to some people near the dug out at full time. Holding up four fingers for some reason?

Says 15,452 on bbc?

That figure will include non attending season tickets and the like. Do they still dish out freebies to schools as they'd be included as well?
