RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 But will they drop to 18th?.... Quote
Didledee Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Well yes, silly. It's the one that RUREADY2ROLL, COYW, anewman, and all the other smartarses on this forum post. Duh! give it a rest for once. Quote
no balls Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I'm with rureadytoroll on this, any 20 year old that a club like us sign should be the real deal already. Sarcasm doesn't always come over well in text Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 The point you are missing Snoop is that Burnley have a manager who has sorted out a back 4 who can defend They don't have the money to spend but they have got stability at the back. Our manager cant see what the issues are Except he can, and has stated such. He's openly said he WILL be bringing full backs in during the transfer window. What the fuck else do you want him to do outside of that window!? Quote
Spider Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 (edited) Anyone who says that the majority of the players are shit, then blames the manager for not turning them into table toppers is being given far too many prescriptions. I'll say this for the 451,358th time. We've not so much dosh. How can he put together a decent squad when he's relying on loans, cheap shit and long termers on big wages who don't want to leave? Coyle did far more damage than some of you can clearly comprehend. Edited December 29, 2013 by Spider Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 why wait until the third window to sort out the fundamental team structure? Quote

How can he put together a decent squad when he's relying on loans, cheap shit and long termers on big wages who don't want to leave? How much have Burnley spent? Or Blackpool for that matter? He's had plenty of money to spend in comparison to most other clubs in this league. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Just seen goals the defending is comical especially the winner from dyer fucking appalling he runs near 50 yard and we don't lay a finger on him it's so disappointing but dougies on borrowed time now he's got one transfer window and the last third of the season to show he really is as good as he thinks he is and by god I hope he does it - if we'd got dyche McLaren davies McCarthy I'd have been gutted but you cNt fault em they have all taken there respective clubs forward we are faltering badly Quote

RUREADY2ROLL Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Cant believe that Beckford or Moritz are on small salaries He has brought players in but not addressed the main areas of concern Quote
no balls Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Beckford is here on a pay cut. He said so himself so I'm inclined to believe this Quote
COYW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Cant believe that Beckford or Moritz are on small salaries ...or Baptiste. Quote

Coyle did far more damage than some of you can clearly comprehend. I understand that Coyle did untold damage, but I still feel Dougies tactics are making a difficult situation worse. For what it's worth I think we would be higher up the league by employing more positive tactics....not every team in this league is capable of punishing us like Leicester but plenty are capable of scoring the odd goal when you let them play keepball Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Cant believe that Beckford or Moritz are on small salaries He has brought players in but not addressed the main areas of concern And without them it might have been 5-0 today. We need to score goals as well as stopping them going in at the other end. You are aware of that, right? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I think I've made my mind up on DF but to be sure I'm happy to give him 1 more window and 6 games next season, but his constant changing of players his re- inclusion of ZK and his lack of loyalty to players he's signed recently, his style of play, lack of pressure on the ball, failure to motivate players, mark him down as a bad un and it's going to take a lot to convince me other wise. snowball Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Does this win the much coveted Worst Post Of The Year Award? It should do. Rob Hall should not be judged on that one game by any fair minded half intelligent individual especially as he was not to blame for us not winning. Probably same mentality would be screaming for Hayden White to start instead of Baptiste and then condemn the young lad if things don't go well and write him off forever Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 If there are, top of the league away from home isn't one of them The first comment from somebody who actually saw the game is above mine and I'll take his view over folk who come to conclusions based on halfwit local radio hacks and other experts on forums such as this You generally talk sense - granted an away win at top of league is unlikely but generally do you think dougies just hanging on to get to the transfer window then we'll pick up or do you think he's culpable for not getting players performing and tactics right? Quote
RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I said when he came I would give him till the end of this season & I've defended him stoutly until recently. I hope it all comes good but frankly the signs are not too promising. Italian style football is all well & good with intelligent & gifted players, unfortunately we are a bit light on them Quote
xxxxxx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Did people really expect a win today? We beat a piss poor Barnsley team that does not mean we will next game casino is spot on with his post Nope. I actually expected us to lose quite comfortably today. Quote
Ands1 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I'm not for seeing Dougie sacked just yet, But I tell thee all again we missed the boat when Steve Bruce wanted to leave Birmingham to manage us Quote

snowball Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Not so much losing to Leicester, fully expected that but the manner of the goals very disappointing. Baptiste culpable for 3 and Dyer did exactly what he did last season Quote
