xxxxxx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 We had a lot of penalties for and against last season, mainly against, have you seen all Leicesters penalties, maybe they were correctly given. Maybe they was correctly given...., but getting 13 pens will equal a lot more points, which will equal much more better morale. Quote
miamiwhite Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 serious question now wasn't dougie freedman's mandate when he signed on the dotted line to get us promoted this season according to PG (the chairman not the chimps on the tvad but that's debatable) all this transition/stability talk. what will happen then ? FWIW - I think we're as stable as Gazza on a tripwire Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 The other thing about today it was obvious that Leicester's main threat was going to be the neckless facker Dyer. So what does he do? He plays Baptiste at full back with Chungy in front of him Complete clown of a manager See the light DF is not for us Quote

I'm sure the mandate was to get promotion, although that will now have changed.....probably to get promoted next year instead. personally I would give DF until the end of this season, if we still look shaky come May then we might have to consider letting him go. I see no point in firing him off at this stage of the season Quote

Why Dougie? even with the injuries, no excuse for that. Quote

xxxxxx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I do hate some of Freedman's tactics and selections, but to be fair to him, he hasn't got much to work with in the defence, especially regarding pace. Quote
gonzo Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I don't think Pep guardiola could have done anything better with the available back line we had today. We have been pretty good at the back over the past few months,a problem the manager sorted out by bringing players and settling on a back two nobody would have dreamed of. Today we played the best team in the league with 4 center backs to pick from for a back line. A poor situation out of The managers control. Folk including myself have been moaning for weeks as to why we don't have a pop at teams, today he did. His thinking was probably siting back with that back line would be suicidal. Have a pop 5-3....sit back 5-0. Take your pick. Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Would have played Pratley instead of Lee Quote
RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Virtually every manager inherits shit/unhappy players....why do some people believe that our manager shouldn't be expected to improve or get at least 1 or 2 back on board? When he gets rid & gets his own players in then it will be different apparently.... His success with his signings up to now don't inspire much confidence in that theory Quote
snowball Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 So........... who would you have played? Just out of interest? I would have hoped our tactical genius of a manager or his mate LL could have come up with a plan that either did not feature Baptiste or if not at least put some protection in front of him? No? What is it they say about doing the exact same thing and expecting a different outcome? Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Would have played Pratley instead of Lee I put it to you sir, that wouldn't have made an iota of difference to how we did today. Quote
MalcolmW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Whilst I am not one of the DF rose tinted fans, we have to give him the transfer window to bring in a couple of players and do it in the first week not on the final day. If he still can't get the team to play his way then he has to go. It's not that simple just having a clear out and hoping, the manager has to do his job with what he has. The first week of the window is a seller's market - full asking price or no deal. Last week of the window is a buyer's market - accept this offer or get nothing. So while it's desirable to sign ASAP it is not always, or even usually, practicable. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 We should've sacked him and appointed Maclaren It's that simple Apperently Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 So why don't we have a decent full back at the club? with over a year at the club? Stop making excuses - DF and LL are crap - we could pick any two from WW and they wouldn't do any worse Quote
DazBob Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 we could pick any two from WW and they wouldn't do any worse Anewman and Diddles would be a dream team. One the tough, old school disciplinarian, the other Anewman. Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 DazBob even though that would not be my dream team I still think they wouldn't do any worse than DF and LL Quote
RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Diddles teamtalk involving snickers would be something to behold Quote
COYW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Mick Mccarthy has had exactly the same number of games in charge of Ipswich as Freedman has had at Bolton. McCarthy inherited a shambles of a team that was adrift at the bottom of the table having just been beaten 3-0 at home by Sheffield Wednesday who were just above them before that game. They're now sixth in the table... Quote
COYW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Just heard Derby are 2nd. They must have been one of the worst outfits I have seen in this division. Completely baffled. It's not that baffling, they've now got a decent manager. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Have no lessons been learned? You're supposed to be touting 'hard done by the chairman/recently sacked' as replacement managers these days. Quote
gonzo Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 If my auntie had some bollocks shed be my uncle. What a load of shite. Quote
COYW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Last time I looked, Leicester were a top of the league established side with pots of cash and the bookies favourites to go up They weren't the bookies favourites at the start of the season. We, on the other hand, were second favourites. Quote
Casino Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Just nipped on to see how a 2 goal defeat against the top of the League had been received Fcuk me, its like we've lost by 8 Like spoiled kids some of you Goodnight Quote
