captainmed Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 The first few mins were a joke Without moritz and beckfords only touch of the ball then so would the whole of the first half had been The right-back was as bad as Butterfield last season if not worse They missed a penalty, scored a minute later and still beat us by two Totally and utterly beaten by a much better side DF talks about fitness and Leicester have played the same team now for six games. Playing Hall and Lee away from home shows what DF knows. He has got to go. The end is nigh Quote
Traf Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I haven't got the required mental fortitude for reading 15 pages, so I apologise if my thoughts aren't entirely original, but... The 18th placed team losing by 2 at the table toppers is no disgrace. The softness of the 5 goals and the penalty is becoming of alarming concern, however. Yet there are positives to be taken. Not many teams will score 3 at the KP this season. If, and it's a big if, we can sort the defence, we can still make the play offs, it's such a mad division. Quote

Sorry we should not be 18th its a fucking disgrace shocking management to have this squad down there the more I read the more I think the change should be sooner, I hate change for changing sake but sorry he's way off track at the moment and he can't complain whatever the board decide. Ani Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Right we had a brilliant view today and it was obvious from early on that the system would not work, and I was saying this at half time. We basically played two holding midfield players and then 4 'luxury' players in hall, moritz, lee and beckford, in the few times we had the ball in their Hal the system works, when we do not have possession it is far too easy for teams to get into attacking positions. Their fourth goal sums us up we lose a ball upfield it was a bit unlucky but then their winger goes half the length of the pitch and no one gets near him. This was two mins after they missed a penalty. I can only assume he took hall off at half time because we were getting over run out wide but he kept the same system and not surprisingly we got over run. We played 4 2 3 1 today and two of the 3 contributed nothing positive. And if anyone can explain what Mason adds to this team I would be grateful. DF has bought him and played ahead of our own players and he is no better. Quote
radcliffe white Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 It's easy for people to say get rid but like I said months back where do you draw the line. We have spent some compensation over the years on getting managers in and thens the question of who do you get? Ok I don't want to be in this position but sacking him pure pointless this seasons done with now he needs the rest of the season to sort it out Quote
mourinho Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 The fact is that we're 18th and they're top... that's a huge gap. Yes, thanks to our learning on the job inept manager, it is a huge gap Quote

Ok I don't want to be in this position but sacking him pure pointless this seasons done with now he needs the rest of the season to sort it out I think you draw the line if you think it's looking like he's lost the dressing room, ran out of ideas or looking like he's taking us down or seriously backwards, its clear to me experience was the main priority when we sacked Coyle and we made another mistake in Freedman, that's my view but prepared to give him 6 games next season to prove it more conclusively, that is if he does not put us in danger of relegation this season, which I fear he might. Traf Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 In fairness I've had more success in League 2 than the Championship this season, but there's not a lot of value there today either, unless you're brave enough to lay Portsmouth, Chesterfield and Cheltenham who are all underpriced IMO (by 19%, 13.5% and 15.3% respectively) Portsmouth 0-0 Northampton (17th v 24th) Chesterfield 1-1 Dagenham (1st v 12th) Cheltenham 1-2 Mansfield (10th v 19th) Piece of piss. pato Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 problem is if he takes us up from here are we ready for another season in the prem with our arse being handed to us every week Southampton, Cardiff and others have gone up and spent serious money (and then wages on top) then having to do that again the season after Quote

pato Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 there is no team in this league that would frighten another like Rioch's in the 90's although the first season back in the 1st (championship) we were mid table we still looked quality this league today meh and indeed pah Quote
glossopWANDERER Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I can not see how he's going to turn things around so what good can come from giving him till six games into next season. This season is as good as done for us so time to give someone else the time to review the squad and put a plan in place to mount a serious challenge next season Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Home. The M1 tried its best to make me miss the kick-off, but I thwarted the bugger, got there with 20 mins to spare. headed towards the Rugby ground Car Park & the gate was closed & car park looked full. Noticed the exit gate was open, nipped in found a spot to dump the car, didn't have to pay, result Met the usual suspects, bumped into an old mate & ready for K.O. No Meat & Potato pies, disgrace , & them shitty Pukka pies at that. Over priced ale, £3.70 for shit bitter, disgrace, hate going to the Midlands, Greenhalls really is pish! The fear of a drubbing was realised early on as we did actually sit back & let them come onto us as is usual of Dougie's tactics, difference today was, when we tried to hit them on the counter attack, we scored & then did it again!! Good sing song, great banter & piss taking of their fans, that suddenly weren't so clever & loud. When they pulled one back, the way things were going, I feared we had missed our chance but no, got a 3rd & went ballistic Unfortunately it was short lived & at half time I'd have happily taken the 3-3, I couldn't see us being so lucky on taking our chances on the counter. When the penalty was saved I really thought that was one of those match decisive moments that would mean we'd get something out of the match... well that was short lived too I was going out the door as the 5th went in as I didn't want to sit on that car park, straight out & away. The Who drove me to Woodhall Services were I had my tea & amused myself with reading the comments on here, Jimmy Hendrix & the Jimmy Hendrix experience live at Reading drove me home. Aside for the result, I've strangely had a thoroughly good day out. Well what the fook else would you want to do on match day? Decorate the back bedroom, be dragged out shopping by the Mrs, wash the car, sleep off the night befores hangover, listen to it on the wireless/read teletext/find a livestream? Fook life, choose BWFC Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 See, again the frustration is we have the view point Well we got beat by the team top of the league Then we have the counter but we shouldnt be 18th Both are true However much I like the Dooooog, I believe we are capable of much much better and have proved it in glimpses this season, Quote
Guest Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Losing 5-3 when in the Prem to a top side would be OK But when we (probably) have one of the highest salary rolls in the division, losing to a top side isn't good. Something is out and I can't see that it is being fixed Quote

Bobcat Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Hey, at least you're constantly negative. I'm beginning to think most members of this forum are bipolar. I wouldn't normally lower myself to answer any of your dull shite... But mounts has been following Bolton since before you were born judging by the shite you post...and has probably forgotten more than you could even store in that empty head...his optimism during the previous managers was well documented so negativity ain't his thing....for him to have written off the current manager...well the guy must be fucking wank.... You sat in the good old U S of A.....and voicing your opinions, hold as much credence as diddles sat in his bedroom... Quote

Thanks for the kind words brought a tear to my eye anyhow I might seem negative to mr snoopy however I seriously and honestly hope I'm wrong about DF I want BWFC to do well, not for me I've seen it virtually all watching BWFC except my ultimate dream an FA cup win, but I want success for our next generation my 9 year old lad and all the lads I know who have kids and have sweat blood supporting this great club, we need success it's important for Bolton the area and the future of this club it means more for me now that our kids are engaged in BWFC and enjoy what we were lucky enough to enjoy. bolton va va Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Just back.......& as expected we got murdered down the wings. TBF Baptiste & Ream are makeshift full backs & Leicester have good wingers, but apart from the problems at full back, we matched Leicester in the 1st half & probably deserved to be ahead until their flukey equalizer. 2nd half , Leicester edged it as the problems on the wings continued, but we were in this game right to the end. A cracking match & a good performance.....it would have been interesting if we'd had Tierney & McNaughton available !!! Quote
