I do remember the main station being over the road from the present one, used to have a coal fire in the ticket office....

Bagpuss had to marry on a Sunday because his Dad would not shut the shop on a Saturday afternoon. 

I had a mate from school lived down the bottom of Morris Green Lane, when I sometimes made the epic journey from G/L on my BMX to hang around I always noticed a chippy all decked out in purple - proper 60s throwback - anyhow, it was NEVER open...I always wanted to sample the chips because of this elusiveness...

 

The old Railway track there, well it was like a rubbish dump, used to play 'Mad Max' on there.
