I don't see how any overseas amateur can come in now. Everyone is in same boat so just crack on with what you've got imo.

Eltons got cracking facilities, darcy has got midgies

Which one? I only just found out there are two clubs within a hundred yards of each other. One is off Ainsworth Road (Elton Vale CC) and the other is in the middle of a housing estate towards Bury from The Bolholt Hotel. (Elton all Saints CC)

Those with ancestral visas are fine.ie FSC Player

There are also ones who arent in the "pathway"

12 players wanted to come over, only 4 allowed at fsc, tonge, atherton and adlington

Aussie are the way forward for next year

Pissed me off mate.

Ancestral visas yes. Any others dodgy. If they play every game then they're clearly here to play cricket and not travel or see friends etc.

Never had a problem at Elton (all saints) though they are both in close proximity to water so both could be affected.

Its bordered on two sides by houses, the others have cracking views.

Someone's going to have to talk me through the new rule about rain threatened games.

Bradshaw started late today and ended up playing a 25 over game.

Lostock batted first and managed 78. Just as their 25 overs were done it rained. Extended tea break meant Bradshaw were limited to 18 overs to cuss down the 79 required; take it or leave it.

Someone explain the rationale behind this.

Sounds a bit shite

How many wickets did lostock lose?

They lost 9 wickets in their 25 overs. It's the take it or leave it thing that seems strange. Had Lostock been a bit better and scored, say, 130, then Bradshaw would probably not have risked all the points and gone for two instead. Makes it a bit of a lottery to me.

Agree to a certain extent.

It's a new rule on the back of an old rule. The old rule didn't initially allow you to chase a rain reduced score in less than 25 overs but then teams did.

Arse about tit.

Good luck with that.

Umpires can't even tell the time so DL will never be accurate in BL cricket.

Thanks for the beers pal.

Had a good chat with Ingy and Pelser.

Good luck today.

Just getting ready for Clitheroe away.

I recall there was someone on WW who plays for Daisy Hill who could shed some light on an issue at Bradshaw this weekend.

Was there an issue on Sunday? My daughter's boyfriend plays for Bradshaw 1sts and she was asked to do teas. With a budget of £50, she did a decent spread.

Having been put in to bat I think DH scored about 30 all out so the Bradshaw team was put straight in to get the required scores and the teas would wait for a few minutes.

The Daisy Hill team, however, decided they weren't staying around for tea. My daughter sends her thanks for wasting her time and efforts.

Poor form!

By the way, heresay, I realise, but the team were alledgedly overheard prior to the game telling each other there will be fines for any player scoring more than 5. Did they have somewhere else they'd rather be?

SJM used to play at Daisy.

I'd imagine they weren't in the mood for a tea or a pint after being hammered.

I can't imagine that being true about getting more than 5.

Poor form imo but not massively.

When our 1sts played there the other week, the behaviour of some of their players and one banned player who was watching from the sidelines left a little to be desired.

With a 1pm start, they probably didnt fancy tea at about 2pm after getting dicked

Not saying its right

Few bans dished out recently including Lostocks pro

Also confusion over registered players

Standard BCL

Ive just recently moved to Astley and the local cricket team astley & tyldsley play a short walk from mine. Had a walk up the other week and it looks a decent setup

Are they any good?
