BoltonPro15
What's the script there then? Lost by 318 runs yesterday. Struggled for years with 2nds. I think there are a few factors really:- - Our team is so inconsistent because rather than having say 15 players who are available every week, we have about 25 who play as and when. I do think if we had a pick our best 15 players playing every week then we would be far better. - The way the GMCL works actually puts us in the same league as 1st teams which means that there are teams in the league which have a pro and paid amateurs. This should balance out within the next few years as teams 'find their level'. - The 1st team have taken the best juniors for the past few years which obviously isn't bad for the club but not great for the 2's. - We currently have very few, if any, 15/16yo coming through. Had massive success with juniors recently but al u11 u13 and 15's. They will hopefully start to move into the 2nds witthin the next 2/3 years. It is very tough to see but the lads still seem to enjoy their cricket which is half the battle. Hopefully huge improvements over the next few years. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 5, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted September 5, 2017 in an ideal world, it would have been nice to gone down and put the little fuckers in hospital, Unfortunately, it seems that you're right. Though presumably some of these twats will be cock waving on social media. Hopefully, they will be receiving a knock on the door soon. Site Supporter MickyD Posted September 6, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted September 6, 2017 They strut around with impunity. CCTV images posted on Facebook don't seen to bother them. Police come down and arrest nobody, calling it a social nuisance rather than a crime. Maybe if they locked one our two up for a night until parents took some responsibility... Site Supporter MickyD Posted September 8, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted September 8, 2017 Wide open spaces, often off the beaten track, poor security etc = easy targets Went watching bradshaw thirds in a game at garstang a few weeks ago. It had the type of fencing you get around schools. High and green. Sorry but whilst out was undoubtedly secure, it was grim as fuck.

Kane57
What's the state of Bolton cricket these days? My uncle played for Farnworth for two hundred years. Spent many an afternoon there watching the likes of Brad Hodge and listening to stories about someone called Gary Garner who apparently everyone hated Edited September 17, 2017 by Kane57
