Used to have one playing for them, but he fecked off somewhere else, possibly Clifton.....

Not a nice place to watch cricket....

and to be fair to Horwich at least they didn't wear a t shirt supporting the racist player

How did this pan out?

Horwich won DLS

Was a good effort to get the game on, needed the rain 5 overs earlier from our point of view!

started well had em 3 down for 4 runs at one point then let slip with some good batting in the middle order, Horwich got 159 from the 35

we started reasonably well but was always behind and was about 18 behind DLS when it started raining so our lad tried accelerating but was out that over and that was it. Covers on, shook hands.

looked after well, couldn’t take advantage of the free drink as we had a do on back at ours.

but in terms of getting a game on which we all wanted was good.

Apparently Farnworth's 2XI are no more despite being top of the league and unbeaten.

Been a strange affair the last couple of years.  Plenty in that team could/should be playing first team cricket but they seem to have been happy dicking other 2XI teams week in week out.

From the outside it seemed they saw themselves as a different entity as the first team.

Has the first team had enough of 2XI players refusing to make the step up?  All very odd.

All seems a bit odd, looks quite a good set up down there as well. I presume the players will have to go somewhere, can they switch teams part way through a season?

@tomskiwill be upset, as I think that was the club he'd decided to "adopt"

Yes, players can transfer mid-season.

Sounds like Farnworth's owner has said the 2XI players have to make themselves available to play 1XI when needed or find themselves another club ... so they've all fucked off.

Eagley will piss it.
