Manchester Afternoon Drinks

Featured Replies

I'm meeting a friend in Manchester for a few beers on a Saturday afternoon and need advice on decent places to drink, so thought I'd ask the WW experts.

So where is a decent place to drink that won't be full of dickheads?

Walking distance from Piccadilly.

Neither at clubs at home that day.

Knott Bar across from Deansgate station.

Spinningfields, oasthouse

Then just wander around the centre, if they aren't local they'll like soaking it all in.

There's usually some kind of demonstration and Armenians kidnapping pigeons for Sunday lunch.

Did a similar one for the South MCC. Got wasted while my gf watched. She decided after half a Guinness to stay sober. Some cracking pubs in MCC, I miss them

The unicorn is great for making you feel better about yourself. You'll be leisurely having a punt when some scruff comes in to sell you their stolen wares from the arndale!

Sawyers do an alright pizza

Bakarie pie and ale do decent beers not a million miles away from picadilly. If you're looking a bit further Britons protection. Following what jules said go to the angel, great pub but then walk a bit further and the marble arch is there with its own brewery, class pub.

Theres a couple of chop houses which are pretty decent, not sure of the addresses but not far from the centre/St Annes sq
