Quite possibly an infection if the pain becomes unbearable. Antibiotics will help.

Might be a big job if its not come through but might be an abscess though if you not been dentist for 10-15 years, you might struggle finding a dentist as well there usually busy and don't need someone who visits once in 15 years. A normal tooth extraction shouldn't be expensive but it could be anything best having xray. 

I had two taken out in 1990, Bolton hospital. in at 9am home by 11am, following day couldn't sit up, must have been knelt on me to pull the buggers out. Bloody big teeth too, they left them in a jar for me, got fook all off the tooth fairy.

This debilitating condition is the result of an inaccurate perception of the condition of body or mind despite the absence of an actual medical condition.

 

Mine used to hurt for three years, always over Xmas for about a week. Once they came through they were no bother.

All depends which way it's grown, if it's to close to the nerve they will refer you to the hospital. If not the dentist will pull it.

Daughter had to go to hospital few weeks ago, took 2 out and 1/2 of the other two as they were too close to the nerve.

Mine's coming through on the top lefthand side, i was in agony for 10 days solid. I was due a 6 monthly check up so i saw them on Tuesday and got told it may have to come out and i need to go back if it continues to be an issue.

Have you checked NHS Choices to see which NHS practices are close to you? This list shows all the ones in London so it could be worth looking at and seeing which is closest and giving them a ring.

Punch yourself repeatedly on the jaw as fast as you can for 20 minutes or until you pass out, whichever is the sooner

This lad has been up all night with the kind of pain only a man would know, Jesus Christ it's been the shittest nights sleep I've ever had. Anyhow, I goes to Sainsburys (Walk in dentist) on Trinity Street and they want £824 for root canal treatment and cap, which seems a tad dear to me. I need about four of my Ted Heath sorting, do any of you lot recommend a dentist who's a damn site cheaper, I really can't afford that and it's looking like the other option of a £80 extraction. If anyone knows of a NHS dentist what will do it that'll be smashing.

I was all down to have 2 of them out about 15 years ago. A dentist told me there was a 1% chance of getting a lisp from damage to the nerves so fooked it off. Occasionally they flare up but never as bad as 15 years ago. Isn't removal elective now?
