October 17, 201411 yr we've got about 3 or 4 million for wages i think 15 senior pros taking most of that = about 3 or 4 k a week average the 'massive bonus' for promotion is probably the way forward We're only going one way if were paying players 3-4 k a week not saying your wrong but that's pitiful in the football world. October 17, 201411 yr We're only going one way if were paying players 3-4 k a week not saying your wrong but that's pitiful in the football world. work it out its all based on income and we are paying those amounts if we're going to comply with ffp, especially while we're paying bogdan, pratley, lee and spearing prem wages we're shopping in the bargain basement i'm hoping lennon can find talent from scotland that sees 4k as good money

October 17, 201411 yr Obviously the goals at DMBs are the biggest highlight but his high water mark was the screamer at home vs Spurs for me. That 2005-06 season was his best for us, he also scored the overhead kick v Portsmouth and did dribbled through Fulham's defence a la Tony Kelly @ Wigan. Great days!

I wonder what were paying Lennon and his team one would think 500 k at least.
October 17, 201411 yr tahts why i think you hit on something abopve if you can convince somebody to buy into lennon, offer them a fantastic success bonus, thats the way forward lets say we have 6 million for wages...in total for all activities, thats wages n everything is it unreasonable to think bogdan, davies, pratley and lee are taking 4 million of that? if you think it is chuck in wheater its leaving 2 million for about 15 players...at an average of about 3k a week obvs, our 'compliance' with ffp might see us losing a few million that Mr Davies is going to cover but its not pretty, either way
October 17, 201411 yr And Rotherham are midtable on 15 points with six players from tonight were playing for them in league two just two seasons ago, probably on less than 3k per week per man. I think the championship is the best and most competitive league around.
October 17, 201411 yr Saying that, Rotherham's gate receipts are probably closer to ours than ours are to the top five in this league. That's scary too.
October 17, 201411 yr One that hasn't been mentioned. When he was made captain for the 1st time v Liverpool at Anfield, I think he was only 20/21. Equalised in a 1-1 draw and celebrated in front of their fans pointing at the armband. My thoughts are the same as it seems everybody else's, Kevin Nolan is a Bolton great and I would be estatic if by some miracle we got him back to the club.
October 17, 201411 yr koff you loon To be fair, if cutting the prices meant we attract enough extra fans to cover the reduction in rev per ticket then it's a good point. I just don't think this is the case at the moment though. A few good results, a bit of positivity and some movement up the league might actually mean we do get to the point where knocking say £5-10 off individual tickets would actually attract enough people to cover it. If it gets to that point then I'm all for it (this is point where season ticket holders now get pissed off though).
October 17, 201411 yr One of my top Nolan memories was him getting himself sent off against Blackburn being all angry and scouse at the 2 penalties given in quick succession. Then catching him going nuts in the tunnel when jussi saved the 2nd one too.
October 17, 201411 yr As much as I admired Kevin as Bolton legend at the end of the day he is a one trick poney , he has to feed off a big man Kevin Davies / Andy Carrol .Big sam signed Nicholas Anelka that was the begining of the end for Nolan blaming Megson for Nolan's decline is wrong.Anelka was promised & got a central striket role , he doesn't & nevet has accepted a wide position .He got his way at Bolton By actually getting it written into his contract hence we had Kevin Davies on the wing! ...the main casualty of this tactic was our KN .When Megson took over he tried to use Nolan in a deeper role but as we all know thats not his forte .His form suffered , he became the target of our boo boys & Megson did him a professional favour by shipping him out to Newcastle. As for bringing him back Its not going to happen Thanks for the memories Kev.
October 18, 201411 yr Sorry, ive skipped every post apart from the first one, and i'm very, very pissed, but if he would come back for tuppence, even at 46 years old, i would still have him.The worst thing we ever did was to let him go. I've yet to see a more passionate, committed, and let's not forget, goalscorer for us ever. The single worst ever decision ever made was to let him go. I might just say again, i am absolutely bolloxed, and in in the appropriate thread. Merci :-)
October 18, 201411 yr He is a top player and Bolton legend. Got excited and read the article. Oh well would have been nice. Basically telling the Hammers fans to do one as we all love him and Newcastle do too

October 18, 201411 yr but we should cut our prices Don't think we should, just goes to show how much we miss the extra few thousand who bale out when the going gets tough other clubs are lucky have a less fickle fan base, leicester, Derby 2 prime examples but there's others such as Southampton, the first to complain about how shit we are are usually the ones who've already baled out. October 18, 201411 yr Up there with the best away games I've done. Unbelievable celebrations inside the ground and all down Bolton Road. Also the 3-4, the diouf dive and pen, the campo header. We've had some cracking aways at Ewood in recent years.
October 18, 201411 yr Also the 3-4, the diouf dive and pen, the campo header. We've had some cracking aways at Ewood in recent years.2 brilliant away days. My nerves were shredded on that 2nd pen. Thanks Jussi???? love it
October 18, 201411 yr Legend, leader and in our greatest hall of fame proper proper man. To see him back in the white shirt before he's washed up I think I'd weep. He's 100% reet
